Why are Bridgelux strips so hard to find.

I purchased some Gen 3 strips and later some Gen 3 Thrive. And now I need to add to my build and cannot find any vendor who sells them.

Digi-key and Future Electronics used to have them but now they are special order only.

Does anyone know other sources?

And what does that say about the company and/or quality of the strips?

I've wired 224 Bridgelux 4ft strips and I've had some connectors pop off with seemingly no pressure. However every single LED strip did functions and is bright. And my Lumen reading match pretty well to factory claims. The strips run very cool. My lights only ever reach 1-2*C above ambient room temp.
Also I've had zero luck getting a hold of bridgelux. And I had Digi-Key reach out on my behalf. Also with no luck.

I think Digi-Key and future electronic still have some stock but of random sizes and colours. I looked not long ago. Might buy more up before they are gone. They are a lot cheaper/dollar/watt/efficiency compared to Samsung right now. I think the popularity of the Samsung's drives their prices up a bit more.
I've only been running eb gen 3 bridgelux strips since December so that's all the experience I have with it.

have you considered Seoul semiconductor strips they looked tempting they have good efficiency on their HE line of strips.

Importing via sea freight is a big problem right now. There are a bunch of ships backed up at Long Beach, CA. I used to be in an import biz, and I talk to some old friends still in it. They say that all imported products have been seeing big delays for the past month or two, and this will continue for the foreseeable future. It's possible this is part of the issue youre having finding products if youre in the US.
