whoa big guy gotta call you out on this one... we like to bash the ideologues of your party, which happen to be white, Christian males for the most part.. that doesn't make anyone racist. and as for the majority of educated whites, they definitely lean to the left.
in reference to your comment on Afghanistan, watch the fucking news bro. please. you pull red herrings out of your ass like just about every conservative.
Excellent point about education.

When I was looking for what percentage of liberals were white I also found that liberals are the most educated political group, with 49% or more of us holding college degrees. Not to mention teachers, 72% of full time academic faculty identify as liberal.

I believe the only method they use to brainwash anyone is to present them with factual information. Are you serious with a comment like that, bashing college? So you're recommending that the youth of America skip the whole college thing then? I bet you would want your child to go to some sort of college. Do you believe that they are teaching false information? Did it ever occur to you that they have spent their lives dedicated to researching their specific subjects, and obviously they know more about what they teach than you? You are being just plain arrogant here... makes me :spew:

I actually doubt that the teachers that I had to suffer listening to know about my chosen field that I learned after 2 years of work.

I actually doubt that have the university professors know more about the fields that their courses are required to attain degrees in then the basic layman that is interested in those fields.

I really doubt that a English Teacher knows anything about Computer Programming, Astrophysics, Architectural Engineering, Advanced Mathematics, Theoretical Mathematics, Finance, or any other Professional or Engineering Field.

To have to suffer through a course that has a Socialist Teaching it, continuously talks about politics in a class that has nothing to do with politics is, I would say, Institutional Brain Washing.

Well, thanks for the response, Texas. I won't take the time to respond to Dankness because she's obviously deluded. Well, I will say this to her though ... Hey, the woman you hate the most, Ann Coulter, is a Dead Head. Yes, THAT Ann Coulter. She was addicted to Dead concerts just like the Birkenstock, Tie-Dye crowd was.

And as for you, Texas ... you are making a very common error in believing that just because a person speaks out against the Democrats and their socialistic/fascistic/communistic agendas that that person is a Republican. I haven't been registered as a Republican for over 25 years and then for only a short time. Prior to that, I was registered as a Democrat. In fact, the first president I voted for was John Kennedy. I vote for freedom and liberty ... not economic slavery

Above, you show your typical leftist arrogance in assuming that the majority of "educated" Americans lean to the left. All you are saying is ... "The majority of educated Americans THAT I KNOW lean to the left." Get out and meet more educated people, Bro ... especially educated ACHIEVERS in the business community.

And as far as your demeaning comment about "reading the news," I would respectfully suggest that you get some alternative "news" from sources other than MSNBC, LinkTV and MoveOn.org.

You, like a typical libbie are like Cleopatra ... in denial ... about Obama's statements concerning sending 17,000 troops into Afghanistan. He's made the promise many times both on the campaign trail and since being elected to office. Another thing he promised in order to get your vote was that he would have the troops out of Iraq within 16 months. Did you miss that? Where's that promise now?

Do you realize that Obama's approval ratings are falling like a rock .. even among democrats? Check out the recent Pugh and Rasmussen polls. Some estimates have Obama's approval ratings to be around 30% by year's end.

People are starting to wake up about this guy Obama. How long do you think Americans will stand still while the Obama Administration continues spending TRILLIONS of our future generation's labor?

Typical of those confronted with logic they cannot dispute, V sticks his fingers in his ears and says out loud "I can't hear you, I can't hear you."

I'm a he by the way. A big, strong, liberal he. And comparing Ann Coulter to John Lennon relative to who is the more prominent pot smoker , yeah right. Durrrrrrrrrr.

I have attended several college courses, and never once have I experienced anything like what you are describing here. For a teacher to go off subject and rant about politics would be completely unprofessional. Most won't even mention, or will even refuse to tell you what their political party is. I have several friends that have had the same experiences, professors do not talk about their personal political views. Trust me, this just doesn't happen, not where I'm from anyway. If you have ever experienced this at any university I would report the professor. I am guessing this has never in fact happened, and that in reality you are an old person who has either never attended college or hasn't for twenty years.

yeah well in my opinion college instills appreciation of the humanities, secularist thinking, and an overall love for education. if someone WHO HAS A DEGREE is gonna bitch about going through these classes, like you are, then at least i know he or she knows how fucked up the overall system really is, not just secondary education requirements themselves. vocational training can be just as bad... you learn a bunch of shit just to get a job somewhere, and end up being completely retrained once youre hired. what's the point?! it's mostly to weed out the stupid people, but at least colleges provide you with these aforementioned gratitudes. you'd see far more shallow thinkers in the world if college ONLY prepared you for what you have to do. if science is supposed to help us progress as a species, then we have to be enlightened enough to understand how to utilize it correctly. look at history and you can clearly see my point i hope

my mistake bro, i did assume too much. but the people you claimed Democrats are against obviously gave me the impression that you were talking about Republicans. i hardly know where to begin in seeing that you believe democrats are socialist/fascist/communistic.. okay, i'll give it a go. FASCISM IS A FUCKING CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT. why do you think the catholic church has backed every fascist government since the its invent? now if youre gonna call Democratic agendas communistic, i'd have to request that you take a visit to China or read a history book perhaps. either should do the trick. look up the definition of communism if youre too lazy.

now regarding education... you might be very correct in assuming that I'm arrogant, but arguing in my typical way won't do me much good here on a forum. anyways, i did not at all mean to say that most of the education people I know are liberal - read the first chapter in a government book and you'll see that my statement was, in fact, true! most college graduates ARE liberal. that's not to say that we don't have our counterparts to your typical moronic churchgoing republicans... we have uneducated minorities that, at least, understand that the democrats have them in mind. regardless of that, most educated people are liberal, and you'll find this self-evident throughout the world and in history; from this i can confidently say that YOU are the one who needs more cultural exposure. now, am i exposed to educated republicans? well i do attend the most conservative, wealthy, judgmental college in the nation: SMU! here you find the true educated republicans that genuinely dont want their taxes taken away because they are selfish, amoral people that don't realize that their wealth is derived from the poor. as you know if you are aware of my school, i'm exposed to countless successful businessmen every day, considering that i am a business major. it's true that many wealthy businessmen are conservative, but, just like the people i just mentioned, they have little regard for anything except keeping themselves in RICH and in power. look at history and you'll see that it's always been that way with the people in power...

yeah i expected to hear something like the response you gave about the news... did you get that one from Bill O'Reilly? shit, i've never even been to moveon.org. but, I'm lucky to have Fox, MSNBC, BBCnews, and CNN in my dorm room and at home. i can almost fucking guarantee that i am more informed than you; i watch each of them every day. the media is not liberal and claiming such only shows that you either have an agenda or are misinformed. if you haven't heard of noam chomsky the MIT professor, he's been demolishing men like william buckley since before your day. here's him disproving such theories
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYlyb1Bx9Ic

now since im sort of tired of typing ill close by saying that you have no desire to debate these policies with me. i'll kick your ass. but if you do, just say please. oh yeah, and good thing that you dont consider yourself a republican. you could win the lottery and you still wouldn't be one of them.

Let see,

Stereotyping, especially considering that you don't know a damn thing about me.

I'd say you have your head up your ass...

So you're either a bigot, or have your head up your ass.
Heads right on the top of my torso, in between my two shoulders, thanks. Please if you would quote what you disagree with and respond to it, I'd be more than happy to explain myself. Spouting off random insults just makes you look like an ass. How am I a bigot? The republican party is the only one I really have a problem with. I am always open to hearing others opinions, as long as they make sense, and don't involve the pain, or oppression of others. You have to admit, you guys aren't really arguing with what I say anymore, you've resorted to empty jabs, and now I am going to call my mom and then go cry in my pillow.

Let's see, I think the very first line in my reply indicates that.

What's the hallmark of a bigot... stereotyping.

More embarrassing for you is the fact that you didn't even stereotype me correctly. No, you jumped feet first into a pile of shit created by faulty assumptions about my age.

Oh, I certainly agree, the education system is fucked up.

I don't see where it is vitally necessary for me to take classes that are not related to my field to attain a degree in the field that I was going to.

Besides, as you point out, half the time the schools are a generation or two behind current developments in a field, unless they are one of the leading schools in that field. (Which of course probably means they are a Private Ivy League University like Harvard, Yale, John Hopkins (Medicine), or MIT.

It does no good to be trained in out of date technologies, and not have advisors that know what they are talking about when they talk about your field.

I spent 4 years getting an Associates in Comp. Sci. when I should have been trying to get one in Industrial Programming (less crowded field.) (I spent a lot of time taking unnecessary business related courses.)

What's even sadder is that by the time I was done with the prereqs, and the additional non-field related courses was I was sick of school. I didn't go to learn what I already knew (which is what all the of the 100 level course were) I was going to learn what I didn't know. (200 courses and up.)

Sadly, I spent most of my time taking courses at random, because the school didn't have any kind of organization with regards to ensuring that it was actually possible for first year students to take the courses they needed to fill the prereqs. (My conclusion was the only the well off can actually afford to attend college, because some one working doesn't have the ability to deal with the screwed up schedules that college would force upon them.)

The School System is a joke, I don't know if a system where there's a group of teachers that know all the course material and just goes through it for however long it would take to get the degree would be any better, but I think it might have an advantage over the current system of barely organized chaos.

Conservative chicks tend to be way hotter than their liberal counterparts... maybe its the fact that they try to BE ladies or maybe its just the lack of leftist nagging but its true. the republicans have a monopoly on the decent women.(with exception of hayden panneteire, ill give you dems that) furthermoore yes college no longer is there to teach as far as general courses go. They have become an institution for indoctrination. And dont anyone lecture me on (I have been to colledge and its just you idiot republicans that are to dumb to go) I've been, I have a masters in constitutional law i earned on my own while serving in the army(another place where i didnt have to deal with liberals or their ugly women lol).

ps: Here are the 2 reasons why our school system is an epic fail; 1)we keep throwing and endless suply of money at schools without demanding proper spending. 2) Teacher's unions. and thats it, fix/get rid of those 2 things and our schools will go back to being competetive with the rest of the world.

bush was NOT a conservative ,he was a liberal,
we have been living in a socialist country for at least 60 years now.
it is turning into a full blown facist/communist police state now,
the constitution no longer binds the government to a set of rules.
most of the people i know who smoke pot are conservatives.i doubt it you know any of them as you do not run in the same influence of friends i do.yours are all stupid.
MOST investors are conservative. it keeps more money in their pockets that way,
investors run the country.or did, investors are leaving in droves faster than companys are shutting down and laying off people.
the majority of the people can vote to put their hand in someone else's pocket all they want.that does not mean the pocket is going to stay within the reach of the thief.
if liberals are so smart why are they not the majority of investors? i.e. THE ONES WHO HAVE THE MAJORITY OF THE MONEY.
liberals have picked the pocket dry and ran off the rest of their investment capital NOW WHAT DUMMYS?

I am certainly not a Republican either. Bleh... I try not to run along party lines but merely follow the numbers and the actions behind them. In the end this makes me a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. It is possible to be both, but not if you adhere to party lines since neither of the two major parties fill the bill.

As for education, I won't diss the system which gave me my spectral knowledge. In one sense I can agree with not wanting to take classes that do not apply to my career choice. G*D how I hated Music Appreciation in College. Of course now I look back and realize that it made me a more complete person. Concentrating on your major is important but it is also imperative to receive a shotgun of all subjects at the same time. Otherwise at social gatherings, you will be a complete bore
