not sure but it would be my first guess, I still use T5's as they have never let me down.
I use a Clone King aero unit, T5's at 16" above & have had 100% success for years
It was 15 in I've since moved it to 23 figuring they're clones what's the harm in moving the the light farther away
A T5 is really what I wanted but I couldn't find any hoods anymore at Walmart Home Depot or Lowe's all they carrying our LEDs

For me, I know I can count on my aero to deliver good size beards , this is what I get in 14 days, reliably

I'm usually pretty close to 100% as well. Just use a plastic Dome put them in Silo cups and Miss couple of times a day under a T5 but I guess this led is a bit much. Those t 5 they could go right into the light
