into several threads. That got old with me too, but somewhere along the line, it should be pointed out that
he was right. He walks the walk and I respect everyone here that does.
I have one Dr Greenthumb mother that I gave to belle and I have a seed in my vault. Dr Greenthumb says he
spent $20,000 on that cut. He sells them for $100 a seed to get the cash back. That don't have shit to do with me.
She has cuts for $15, same as any mother from a $10 seed. If I spent $20k on it, then maybe I'd be freaking out about
threads like this, but I'm all about distributing good genetics, not hoarding them.
The mother looking for a high cbd strain - that's what we are about. I search for strains in order to whore them out!!
I would be more of a pot-pimp than pot-snob no doubt about it. That makes some mad as fuck.
Many that have been in the game only want top clones going to those they feel are worthy. I think we are all worthy.

I quit reading this thread about half way thru. Way too much flaming going on. All I'm going to say is I totally understand people that keep cuts for themselves. It's hard and time consuming to find those good genetics. I also won't do that because I believe that this great plant should be shared. The more people growing good genetics the higher the quality of meds overall for everyone. Plus with all the seeds and clones available today people are spoiled!

Another thing to consider is I only end up keeping 1 or 2 plants for every 4 or 5 packs of seeds I start. I don't like placing a value on that but there is sorta a gimme attitude with some people that have no interest in looking for the one themselves. Also I like to chuck a little pollen here and there and I figure why give out my ingredients before I even use them myself. I rarely refuse giving someone a cut, I also never advertise being in a situation to offer them.
I've shared seeds and cuts with a ton of people! All I ask usually is that they keep searching themselves and share the goods they come up with. Honestly, 2 out of about 30 or so people have ever returned the favor, most just ask for more and more. And eventually get around to asking someone else. I like knowing 90% of my genetics are chosen by me. I'm surprised how few people even wanna try.

IMO I see far too many people complain about genetics or the lack there of. Breeders whine about the way the next breeder
does their stuff, they cry about the way crosses are made.
I dont really think genetics in this area should be "rare" unless they come from the tippy top of the Himalayas, even then once the strain hits the hands of a grower it should be spread around for others to enjoy and experiment with.
Those who choose to keep strains to themselves are those to blame for the loss of the original strains. The more who grow out a strain the better off everyone will be.
Who gives a damn if someone profits from it, everyone has the opportunity to do so, if you choose not to then tough titty.

Nah, It's just a large community with many different opinions. That is part of what makes the site so good, people are able to debate freely
and express themselves.
Sometimes you have to read allot of the entertainment to get to the meat of a thread, but if you need help there are always many very knowledgable
folks willing to help.

Why do so many people have this entitlement complex, "give me and if you don't you are a greedy bastard how dare you keep those genetics to yourself, while your at why don't you let me use your car whenever I like". I used to give away tons of clones for free only to see people turn around and sell them to other people. This new breed of grower has become spoiled and they have no idea the risks that people took to acquire these genetics.

There has to be room for the views on both ends of the spectrum w sharing cuttings. I try to not overly advertise what awesome genetics I've stumbled into, actually some I've worked very hard for. Inevitably folks are gonna ask, "hey lemme get a cut of that" when a good strain is brought up... I've received messages from ppl I never even noticed on the forum before, lol.
A few strains came with an agreement from the breeder or grower who shared, so clearly I must observe that agreement. I can't really understand why this needs to be explained to ppl, but it doesn't surprise me when it comes up. Since I've never sold a cutting, I have no real stake in any clone sales program. Overall I don't believe that this niche is zero-sum. Mostly, I've seen the benefits to getting all superior genetics out there, to a few key ppl at least, otherwise strains get LOST. I've seen it happen w a few killer strains over the years... and that's even more disappointing than some unappreciative punk growing one of my prized strains.
Ppl can share however they like...
don't give everybody yer genetics ok, but what's sacrificed to be kind and patient with peons? At least that's what I try to ask myself just before I snap, as I have a short fuse like many.

Thanks for the advice I will remember that next time I go to the grocery store, I will just load up with produce and walk out and when the police come I will just say we don't own the plant it's a gift from this earth we all share. That should keep me from going to jail.

I'm pretty sure the argument was hoarding cuts vs. not hoarding cuts. Not selling clones vs. giving them away for free. (or you are itching to fight with bloody)
