I got a big sack of the Gaia 4-4-4 so that makes it cheaper and the other stuff of theirs I use just a little here and there so they last a while. I also use 3 different types of composted manures from garden centres and for myco inside use DynoMyco but also water the first time with unfiltered water from my dugout that teems with life so has lots of natural beneficials. The rest of the time I use RO water. For my outdoor plants they get lots of our own compost tossed in too and that has lots of goodies. Has bugs too so I never use it indoors.
I looked up those nutes and if they had them up here in northern Alberta I'd buy those for sure but shipping and exchange would make them very pricey for me. Nice to see they get it that pot doesn't need as much P as most think it does.
I've been growing DWC for my first 20 years up here and only getting into organics the last couple years. Finally getting decent with it but outdoors I'm having nice healthy plants growing in lots of soil/promix etc in a raised bed. Just chopped them all down today as the weather has gone to shit with lots of rain since last night going until Sun night then a cold front moving in Mon - Tues so they would freeze. Summer is over fast and early up here so they are just little autos compared to the trees I could grow back in BC near the US border. Used to live one mile from the border on an acreage out in the Fraser Valley. Three miles from the crossing to head south to Bellingham/Seattle. Miss the fishing and my Camel Filter 100s.
Nice nutes if you can get them.
I've only grown outdoors in the past and that's been awhile. I have my first indoor grow going now so in the process of figuring out what's going to work for me. I use RO here too.
I think I'm done mixing chemical nutes, measuring ph, etc. I was using them on my current grow starting from veg to about week 3 of flower. Just tired of fighting deficiencies, measuring and adjusting all the time, etc. I just don't want the tedium.
So I went ahead and topped off all 4 pots with some Black Gold Natural and Organic potting mix and watered in a cup of Earth Dust Boost per plant to get some microbes and organics into the soil and made the switch from chemical to organic in middle of flower. About 3 days later, I watered in a little Pure Protein Dry 15-1-1 (aminos) followed by Advanced Nutrients ph Perfect Connoiseur Bloom Parts A & B. The plants never stressed and look much greener and buds are fattening nicely...now starting 6th week of flower so still have a few to go.
Next run I'm doing 4 more GG4 autos. They all will be started in the same Black Gold potting mix amended with Earth Dust base and cooked for 30 days at least - 7 gal fabric pots).
I usually water every 3-4 days in veg so on alternate days I'm going to water in 1/2 tsp/gal of PPD 15-1-1 and foliar mist with Sea-90 minerals. The next feeding, I'll do the opposite and water in 1/2 tsp/gal of Sea-90 minerals and foliar mist with the PPD 15-1-1. Going to do this for all 4 plants.
During bloom I'm going to finish 2 of them with the Earth Dust Boost for flower (just 2 feedings during flower watered in) and the other 2 are going to get fed BuildABloom (aminos) watered in. I'll also continue watering in PPD 15-1-1 and Sea-90 in smaller amounts on alternating days from feeding.
I've heard good things about all these products and have been studying how to use them and this is what I've put together. Not much mixing....mostly just watering and keeping an eye on things. I hope it all works the way I want it to....lol.
The weather here stays warm into the 60 & 70's up until about mid to late Nov. Winter is not very harsh and only lasts about 2 - 3 months.
I was actually born in Canada and have a Canadian birth cert. along with my US Consular Birth record. I was born on the US Navy base at Argentia Newfoundland. My dad was stationed there in the late 50's to early 60's. We left a year after I was born and came back to the states so I don't remember anything of course. I just have pics that mom and dad took while they were there.
