im a med patient...and it gets expensive when ur on a fixed income...that and i want control over the strains i smoke...and the way it was grown/dried/cured. i hate not knowing anything about the bud i buy...i also dont like being dry. it can be hard to get in my area...i have a hell of a time finding people to buy from...so i end up having to go weeks at a time without it. and thats not good for my health.
 
I think at first when I was a kid I thought it would be cool just to have a plant. Then I thought about the money behiend it. Thought I could harvest once and be rich. Realized that wasn't how it was. Your really lucky to be able to have enough to get you by to next harvest without having to buy more.
Then I Got into it as more of a hobby and started to learn the science. I have been a med patient for a while now. Since I was 18. I now do really need it as a medicine and I wish to supply myself.

There is a lot to get into and obviously people base their lives around it. Not really a bad thing. I think a lot of people both just getting into growing and old skool grower are blined by money tho.

I am still waiting for the free co op..

It's funny you mention that. I am an old school grower and I feel like it's the young ones that are blinded by money.
 
I wanna grow marijuana for medical purposes of course, ive had insomnia for my whole life.

My second reason for wanting to grow...because you may not realize it but there are thousands of different strains! Gotta Smoke 'Em All! MARIJUANA!

Why else would anyone wanna grow!
 
Smoking grass is one thing. Supporting the cartels is quite another.

By growing my own, I am out of that loop and my money goes to legal businesses providing most of the materials required to grow.

oh yeah, so that kinda made it hard to vote, not to mention it has passed my mind to sell my surplus, crap.. even harder now
