why does my harvested bud not smell like bud

It will get a better smell as it cures .... a few weeks in the jar with burping every day will make it stinky and sweet smelling

i usually get that smell. smells like grass clippings. sometimes when you don't trim enough of the leaf off the buds, that's what you get.

Mine never really smelled at all, but knocked you on your ass, thats all you should worry about

I have heard of premature bud TASTING like grass clippings, but never smelling. Even very young bud smells like bud. Hopefully you do what korvette1977 said and cure the weed, you should do that after any harvest though.

I'm sure if I put time and effort into a grow and the weed came out smelling like grass clippings I would be concerned too. And I personally love the smell of weed.

That will hopefully go away as the bud dries and cures. Sometimes your buds will smell delicious while its on the branch but when you cut it the chlorophyll begins to break down and release an odor that just smells like plant (lawn clippings or smashed up leafs, you get the picture)

i have had herb that smelled just like tea before, it smoked good though, so i was happy

After dry/cure, it will definitely smell more like bud. Right now, you smell the Chlorophyll... but once the majority of the Chlorophyll and moisture leaves the plant, that smell will be gone. I took a look at your pics and they have plenty of THC on them... so don't worry.

well thankyou all that have giving there advise well (app) will cure and hope for the best it smokes well and i do get high!! so not all is bad but because it dont smell as much cant sell any lol well more for me then i suppose

Lol my thc bombs smelled like this. I love stinky bud, my mazar and acupolco gold smell like black pepper, I like spices, thc bomb smells really floral and tastes sweet like vanilla. Cloudy trichromes and the high is soaring. Im new to growing so this thread just educated me. Thanks.
