Why I hate WalMart

Besides the fact that it's full of cheap, plastic crap and fat, redneck women in stretch pants - WTF is with WalMart and Miracle-Gro?

Went there last night to get some soil to repot my plants, and lo and behold - ALL they have is Miracle-Gro! MG Soil, MG fertilizers... that's it. NO other brands at all. I couldn't even find a bag of soilless mix like sphagnum or anything!

On top of that, they didn't have any Y splitters for my bulbs.

Anyway, just wanted to rant. I'm on my way to Lowe's now. Hopefully they'll have everything I'm looking for.

Anyone else hate WalMart with as much passion as I do?

those corporate vampires who suck the life-blood of the economy! they never have y splitters at my walmart either. and since i know how to use MG without harming a plant, i dont mind using MG soil

Go to local hardware stores. They'll have everything you need, including the y splitters.

i've been to a few lowe's and everyone i've visited only had MG soil too, they have Y splitters and anything else hardware related you can think of but no good soil! oh yea and WalMart is terribad dude dont ever go there. unless u wanna buy a video game or sumthin haha

That's funny...you hate Wal-Mart because they don't have the SOIL you are looking for? Why did you go to Wal-Mart looking for appropriate soil? Wouldn't you go to, I dunno, a nursery or a true gardening store?

The expectations people have are often out of control. Wal-Mart has soil, they have electrical equipment and they have just about everything under the sun. What they don't have is one of every kind of every thing under the sun. That's why the other shops are still around at all.

And don't hate Wal-Mart just because they do it right and do it better than anyone else in history. That's just ridiculous.

Nah dude walmarts suck every walmart around me everything has been returned and put back on the shelf. Takes me 3 trys till i might actually get something that is new or works there.

I can't believe I just wasted my life watching those retarded videos. Nothing to do with WalMart being the devil. Some dumbass complaining about the POLICE (Who don't work for Wal Mart) and someone spoofing the Numa Numa guy for the 1000th time. Really?

And the guy in the second video acting like it's crazy they don't let people without handicapped placards or stickers park in handicap spaces.....no shit?

The company is Scott's/Miracle Grow. A brand developed by the scotts company that basically owns the soil/fert. industry. They bought up all the competition and have all the money in that industry with prices/volume so high no competitors can compete. Note so high you see it in the big 3 HD, lowes and walmart. Its a shame no competition. Hardly even a coke/pepsi battle....in soil

It's not as if it's the first industry to go through that. I don't see a problem with it. How many companies need to sell dirt?

The Wal-mart in my area sells three kinds of soil: MG, Hyponix(Craponix), and jiffy seed starter. I have the jiffy for clones and I use the MG for all else. They also carry all the MG Soiless like Peatmoss, vermiculite, and perlite although they have nutes in them at small amounts, which has yet cause problems. Even have a special MG Soil for cactus in an orange bag. I was was able find y-splitters, fish emulsion(5-1-1) and (0-10-10), superthrive, peat plugs/clone trey with dome(came as a kit), rooting hormone, blood/bone meals, CFLS of all wattages and color spectrums,Ph test kit, and Ph Up/Down. So in conclusion...YOUR Wal-Mart sucks, mine fucking RULES !!! Do you have small towns or a larger city around where u live. Im in the Southern US, and there is about 7 small towns within an hour of me each with a Wal-Mart. Most stores Like Lowes and Wal-Mart are very region specific. For example Lowes carrys a VERY GOOD soil called Kellogs that has everything from worm casting to Myco bacteria in it...but...they dont carry it In my Region which made me really pissed. Try going to differnt ones and seeing what they have.

Walmart in my area sells scotts and MG thats pretty much it. But I don't expect them to carry anything else. You want premium stuff go to the correct store that deals specifically in those products. Also wonder why theres no walmarts in NYC? Because they control to much shit everywhere they land and would put soooo many small business owners out of their homes. The only walmart you will even FIND is near long island and thats a drive away. Anyway peace im headed to walmart right now

The way America does business is changing, doesn't mean it's for the worse. Used to have to drive all over town to run errands and get all the shit you needed. 10 different stops at 10 different places, now you can get by going to one place for all the shit you need. I personally enjoy having a Wal-Mart so I don't have to blow my entire day and I can focus on more important tasks and run my life more efficiently.

Wow Im really surprised that they only sell miracle grow brand . at mine they sell 5+ Different kinds of soil. They also sell everything else a grower would need, such as different nutes other than MG. So It all depends on what walmart your going to.

How many people actually go to hardware stores or butcher shops these days? Wal-Mart provides Products at a cheaper price...with equally cheap products. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS. The meat you find at your Super Wal-Mart(Walmart with a grocery store) is nothing like the the meat at your local butcher where you can get custom cuts, made fresh that day. You dont see Walmart selling Timberland boots or Louis Vuitton Bags. People ultimately have a choice in the quality of their goods.
