Why is Gary Payton so popular?

Runtz is probably the most faked re-labeled flower out there, I remeber a few years ago I wasn't even sure of it because so much Gelato 33 was getting labeled as runtz when it was clearly it was just 33.
As long as you say you got it from someone you trust 100% nobody will fault you.

The reality is, most people don't really care about provenance and would be very lucky to get their hands on a rename of real Gelato 33, OG Kush, GSC, or GG4. Instead you see people showing up here every day growing who-knows-what labeled with some classic strain. Do you "Love Growing Marijuana" ?

I don't think its that, a buddy of mine has tried "The Y" or "Y Life" and they said it reminded them of what a cross of Gorilla Glue and OGKB might come out like. It looked somewhat like that as well. I doubt either of those are in the genetics but something like that seems a lot more likely than it having Amnesia and Kali Mist in it. There are no hazy terps at all in the Gary.
I got some nice, stronger hardwood flavor on the backend of it in my volcano. Smoked, it's not too woodsy but it's definitely cookie, gas and rich woods in the air when burned. I'd assume extracts would amplify those qualities as well.

I have that from Medical Seeds so if I hit it with some cookies might have something similar genetics wise. I think it's the Kali Mist in Y Griega that makes it standout. Running their 2046 (Nevil Haze x Kali Mist) now & it smells incredible, might hit that with Sherb cross lol
They’re 1024 and no name are both nice. Recently bought another pack of 1024.

I was saying its all cookies when Sherbet was raging now were at Gelatti lol but before cookies everyone was saying how everything was OG.
And before OG everything was (and still is) sour diesel....and before sour diesel everything was haze....and before that everything was skunk or blueberry (and everything still IS related to skunk or blueberry somewhere down the line)

What's so special about Gary Payton?
Why are crosses with Gary Payton sold out first?
What is the effect of this strain?
Just another hype cookies stain. Sometimes, when a name gets out there, that’s all people need to sell packs of seeds or pounds. So it gets grown.

Its a good grower, though, decent structure and yield. Super frosty buds. It’s not related to the Y greiga. It’s “Y life” or something like that crossed to snowman. The y life thing is a super blingy but almost noseless cut (smells kinda like buttered popcorn lol) that grows almost exactly the same as the Gary cut. The Gary has way more gas to it but it’s not exactly loud. It’s a nice tart sweet gas with accents of funky lemon and fresh tennis balls. The effect is surprisingly euphoric for a cookies strain, but my tolerance has been high lately so it all kinda hits the same. Lol. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk

It's a current hype strain, I have a few pack of crosses of it, have one from lit farms- cherry payton- gary payton x cherry cheesecake. Basically a company with a lot of money backed behind it teamed up with another breeder to create the gary payton- that's why you're probably seeing or hearing about it s lot. Im must say, of all the current hype strains I've heard very good things about the gary payton- can't wait to grow some.
I have the cut. It is fire. My boy said it's the smoothest smoke he ever had. It's smooth and potent af kinda a grapish flavor very colorful. I renamed my cut just because of the hype. It's great weed worth the hype but not any better than other hype strains it's just very dark and very potent and very smooth can taste the terps on exhale.

Hype son. I've seen the clone offered up between $1k-$2k. Only a cuck would pay that for some hype shit.
The cookie fam are some lames
To the right person, a 2k clone can profit 100K+. If you’re growing for personal use, completely agree, don’t waste the money on elite hype-beast cuts. If you’re commercial, 2k is not a lot to spend to get what everyone wants right now, whether their idiots or not.

The one to the left is a Gary Payton clone. The guy I bought it from (the organizer of Genetraders) told me she's a finicky bitch and you shouldn't even try to grow it if you're new to growing.

Nice ty. It's a plant I'll figure it out.

Just kinda trying to pinpoint the genetics of this strain, I received from a sister farm.

Everyone is Washington changes names of cuts because they ruin their cuts name under their brand or their cuts aren't cool.and need a new name or the cuts name was deemed racist...aka white linen from lit farm

Anyway....

I'm figuring it Gary but don't know so looking for examples... flower will be easiest, smells structure, growth time tables...

But can't hurt to confirm or discomfirm my bias
