Because unlike what lots of people around here seen to think, you don't have to switch to 12/12 for your plants to show sex.

All cannabis plants show pre flowers at a certain "age". We are lucky they do too or we would have a harder time having a room full of females. As someone else stated you don't count the weeks of flowering until you actually flip the lights over to 12/12.

I use to veg with a 400 cmh, at 18 hrs of light, I got pre flowers, at 20 hrs, it took longer for them to show. less light, or sub par, yeah.
