Why isnt my auto flowering yet!?!

Hey guys, my plants are day 40 from seed today and still no signs of budding, I see a lot of pistils. Do you think these need lights changing to 12/12 to induce budding? Or just keep going as I am? They are supposed to be autos...
I wonder if a bit of trimming may have kept them in vegging...
Any ideas?
Cheers

Yeah thats what I thought, sorry some things I've read they refer those parts as pistils... :)
How long after does budding start?
Cheers
Technically they are pistils. However that doesn't mean flowering as we discussed.

You will see them begin to grow crazy in height. This is called the stretch before full on flowering. There is no timeline for autos as they do whatever they want. Its on them.

4-6 weeks is the general time to begin the stretch.
