Why so many autoflower growers?

i dont think it will be possible to do that with acceptable results consistently. Not to mention clones are free and auto seeds are not, unless u do a seed run of cause.
Then u have the different feedings and growth stages of individual plants.

And u can most certainly harvest a flower tent of clones every 7 weeks like clock work for eva if u want to.

Theres a reason that indoor commercial growers dont use autos.
so you would be harvest your 4 X 4 every 7 weeks then?

Any diary to prove this?

Yes I'll be making my own seeds. 2 tents and 2 tanks solves feeding problems

u could put 64 clones into a 4x4. One week veg.
7 week pheno.
Harvest a full tent in 8 weeks.

night of harvest put in 64 clones.
how much space do you need to root 64 clones? and how do you fit 64 pots into a 4 X 4 and keep those all watered ?

Not mine no. I dont grow faster plants. Current grow is Pink Floyd whitch has some Haze in it and i went with a longer pheno (#2) that i found with my small run . I don't grow for money.

But yes, easy as. Find a 7 week pheno and clone it. It aint rocket science. U will need a cloning area and a veg area to feed the flower room. Beauty is of cause that those rooted clones u put in the flower room are already mature plants.

The Grow boss (love him or hate him) look at his 3 tent rotation on u tube and ull get the picture.

I'll check out the channel.

I still think my theory has the potential to pull more from per square metre of total growing space

His channel is old and lots have been FB purrged and tec has move on. But some of his stuff is still relevant. Most growers use a 3 area rotation.
it wont though due to the problem of seed variation.
But its ur grow and u do u. Just dont expect consistent anything.

I was at 17 commercial grows in the last month, no autos. They are manufacturers, all about numbers, quality, time, etc...numbers are not there for autos.
Your quality and production numbers can't be variable when growing from seed, they need consistent numbers.
You don't get that with seeds with whatever genetic disposition it has.

Still gotta try these things. If clones can harvest more from my space I'll switch but that would mean I would need to rebuild to run flood and drain and I've put a lot of work into my current DTW build.
Seed variance can let you build up stronger plants. If you are making your own seed and you have plenty you can pop 50 seeds and keep the strongest 4 with the most vigour. Then clone a branch from 1 of them and seed that and then run those seeds.

I get the context of “ commercial “ grow op and their reasoning to run rooms of mothers and such but i think we are confusing what can benefit the typical homegrower and their options. Sure you can clone a photo up / down / sideways but Autos fill the niche for the indoor / outdoor grower on a much more smaller scale. They can run side by side your clones / vegging plants anyways. 64 clones of one cut would bore me to tears , i choose variety over mass cloning of SAME PLANT .... I personally never ran into a person running anything larger than a 5x5 for autos - maybe there are , who knows ?

I do perpetuals so whether i run autos AND photos ( sog or full ) it just adds to the harvest results. I have been on a 12/12 sog kick lately and get the benefit taking clones from those occasionally. With perpetual autos in veg area with “ regs “ - how could you lose ?

I think by trying to look at autos ( in the scale ) that suits the homegrower then what is the harm. Autos are perfect for growers looking to simple plant requirements when needing some recreational or medicinal strains like 1:1 CBD.

Auto-flowers are not going anywhere , many like exploring what offerings pop up.

Autoflowers are a tool. After some thought I discovered a niche situation which allowed growing in an environment which would normally be impossible. In this case, autoflowers will tolerate a rather fucked up light cycle which makes them perfect for the application.

Given a choice between not being able to grow anything and growing autoflowers what else you gonna do.

Nice ornamentals for the porch or space fillers in a veg tent if I can't think of anything else to do.
I like my Critical Jack auto, but they tend to be all over the place for size when they flower.
