ok so i am looking to upgrade to another 600w hps in my flower room and i am looking to use a lot less power than i am on my mother right now which is a 400w hps with MH conversion bulb. this baby is big and healthy and i want to put like a 150 hps over it to sustain growth enough to take 72 clones every 5-6 weeks there is so many shoots on this baby it is amazing it is drinking 3-4 gallons of water every 3-5 days well hope someone can help me out as the bigger yeilds would be good now that i have my big momma, Also i could possibly get away with a 250w hps but would be another 1000w or so a day in elctricity but that really isn't to much if you think about it well please advise thanks to all who help!

well thanks for the insight i will probably switch over to the 250w because i need to make sure i have enough shoots unless someone else can say they have a big 3'x3' momma under a 150 then i might go lower

I'd keep her under the MH. Under a red, she'll stretch and not be as vigorous. Node spacing takes a hit. Veg in blue if possible.

so then i should go with the 250w MH then! i plan on going to a htg store so i guess this is what it will be as they do not sell a conversion bulb for 150w would love to save all that power though but hey gotta do what ya gotta do.

well my finances may not allow me to get a 250 watt MH so might go with my 400w on 16/8 and do a daylight kinda of thing with my lights one turning on then two then one off then both off guess we will se how this thing goes hopeing to get this new 600w light this weekend

I have them right now. And I am getting great results. I have seen entire rooms of mothers under three 8 bulb led fixtures. And they were massive 5 1/2,6 feet.

Didn’t realize the date was up there.... Or that I would run into tens year old threads. May I suggest a archive folder for older posts?
