Looking at the CFL grow section, many of the plants seem to be extremely tall and lanky. Is this because of the use of CFLs or because of the strain? Will an HPS keep the plants shorter?
the reason why they stretch is because the cfl's don't give off as much light as the other one. But it does have to do with the strain also. hps is the way to go.
IMHO CFL grows with tall and lanky plants are not being supplied with enough light. You can get the same results with HPS if you run it too high above the tops.
