Growing in a tent 1200w one of the 600w comes on 5 min early every time can't seem to get the timers on the same time. Would this cause hermie? Or any other problems? + rep

It shouldn't be a problem, but I'd be worried about those mechanical timers accidentally being turned (i've done that)

This is why I love the digital timers. They're not THAT much more expensive, they have a battery so they don't forget the time when you unplug them (or stop counting like the mechanical ones).

If power goes out for 5 hours with mechanical timers, you will have to go back and correct the timers, or your whole period will be shifted by 5 hours. Just something to keep in mind. It should be fine.

I was all about digital timers until mine reset to 12 PM like an old VCR when I unplugged a lamp from a socket. Now its back to a good mechanical.

I'm using both.
The digital in the grow room and the mechanical in the flower room.
Been playing with manually shortening the days with the mech timer.

The digital is weird to program but is very dependable with the battery back up.
If the power goes off I have to reset the mech timer but just do it on the hour.
A few minutes wont matter.
There are cloudy and rainy days in nature.

That may be a good thing, sorta like sunrise and sunset.
You have no worries.

Light stress is WAY over exaggerated. I am 100% sure youll be fine. Trust me ive done a lot worse than that to my current plants and they havent hermied.

No, that won't be a problem.

Dude I know personally intentionally sets them 5min apart. He's running 4x 1000's (last I was in his grow room). I'm not sure if it's some myth he follows, or just his methodology, but I do know that he has consistently some of the best smoke available. Best damn ChemDog I've ever had.

I agree with the Sunrise/Sunset idea too. The sun doesn't turn off with a switch.
