Will taking clones during this heat hurt the Mother plant?

Just as the title says, If your on the west coast your probably experiencing some serious heat recently and today is another scorcher! Were preparing to take a bunch of clones today but got to wondering if taking multiple cuttings from our mothers during this heat could possibly hurt the mother plant themselves?

Thanks in advance RIU Crew!!!

Scorching heat in the grow room is bad on its own. Maybe before you take clones figure out your heat issue first. Mini splits are the way to go imo. If your mothers aren't showing stress from the heat I doubt that taking your cuttings will effect them negatively.

Ah I see. Well it was 103 where I'm at a couple days ago and I just cut several dozen. I have a few 10x10 easy ups out there just in case it gets too hot for em but they seem to be liking it.

you shouldn't have any problems, give them enough water and don't go too crazy on the cuts, assuming you don't like take 40 cuts of it, you'll be alright, even if you took 40 cuts it'd probably be just fine.
Only issue I've had with taking cuts in the heat is that you need to bring along your spray bottle or they get limp super fast, what I do is get a couple party cups, fill them a quarter full of water, and then get the cuts nice and fast and each party cup would be full of a diff strain, that way you do it fast and they don't get pissed at you. Just cut em and soak em, I've found that over the course of time that cloning this way is much faster and easier.

---side note-- been growing since 1989, and just recently got a cloning machine.. WOW... waaaaaaaay easier..
shoulda done that years ago.
can't recommend it enough.
