Will tin foil work?

now i know mylar works great or whatever but i can't get a hold of that and i cant use paint either but will like aluminum foil work?

get emergency blankets at walmart, they are made out of mylar

well they sell mylar in sheets at grow shops the for emergency blankets it's just a bit crinkled
