I am chewing on the idea of revegging my outdoor-grown Master Kush and making her a mother...

(still reading on how to reveg; any helpful tips?)

...she's already flowering (beautifully, I might add!), but I the idea of just clipping her a bit, throwing that clipping into 24/0, trying really hard to be very patient for the requisite 3-4 weeks while the clipping reverts....

...and then I went outside.

I've always wanted to say this: You should smell my fingers!!
LMAO, this is Miss MK on May 13:

This is her today, May 21:

(more pics of both in my gallery)

She has gorgeous long white hairs and is as sticky as pancake syrup! She smells dank+earthy with a hint of spicy heat...must have been that Jamaican bat guano!
:blsmoke:
I should wait to harvest until the white hairs start turning brown...right? Obviously, the surrounding plants in the garden are enjoying the EXTRA love!

looks very nice. yes wait until most of the hairs are brown. you will see a noticeable change in the overall appearance of the buds. they will look done.

Thanks fdd...how do experienced growers (like yourself) stay so patient!! Every day, I go outside and say hello to her (and make sure the tomato leaves aren't blocking her sun!), knowing full well that I just want to chop/dry/smoke!! The waiting is killing me--I want to smoke NOW. She is almost fat enough that I can't touch my pointer finger to my thumb when I encircle the stem....gonna be better than Campbell's Soup. Mmmmm good!

if you have any small wispy branches at the bottom you can clip a few and start clones for a mom. i feel it's never to late in extreme cases.

cutting from a plant 5+ weeks flowering. it rooted. i will put it outside and get a 1/2 lb off it in OCT.

What combo of nutes are you using? And did you use cloning gel or powder? I had an experiment go south, and I am working on my process of elimination.

I had 12+ clones from this MK; dipped in powder, placed in pre-soaked peat pellet, in a soil-lined aquarium, 24/0 light above and heat below.
I only have 3 left right now, and those are on life support!

Well a big problem with the peat pellets, is you have to squeeze them a bit, to get all the excess water out. I didnt do this for a couple and they are no longer with us : ( . Also You have to keep them in high humidity. The more the better, not hard to make a humidity dome, but they make your chances of rooting way higher. Also what light did you use to try and veg? A simple shop light from walmart or lowers works awesome. They are like 14$ comes with reflector, and a 24 inch flouro. These are one of the best lights to use for getting your clones to root. Also mist them daily, remeber without roots they are goign to have to foliar feed, until they get some roots.

I would go for a clone now, the longer you wait, the more your chances of rooting go down. Take a cutting from a lower branch, make sure it looks healthy.

Goodluck buddy : )

Well I held funeral services for the last 3 today. They had no root system whatsoever! If I weren't so new at this, I would be pretty bummed...plus, I am a successful vegetable gardener, so it does suck to not be "good" at this...but, the lesson has been learned, that's for sure!

I learned that I don't like peat pellets! :-? So I germed some bagseed and bought some rockwool. I cleaned the aquarium (used hydro perox) and let it air dry. I soaked the rockwool in pH'd water, and put one germed seed in each. I lined each opening with a little rooting hormone. Then I put a CFL above and a heating pad below.

Have I missed any steps? (and should I start a new thread?)

I think I'll take a picture of her lower branches...they are as purrrrdy as the tops!

So for clarity, I should clip one of the lower branches (which are also flowering), and then clip at the nodes and make multiple clones. Do I strip the flowers? And if so, CAN I SMOKE THEM?!

(damn noobies, always want to smoke up everything!)

find the smallest branch. snip it. root it. pot it (i assume). give it a week. then carefully snip off the bud but leave as many leaves as possible. put it on 18/6 and slowly start to feed it nitrogen at low levels. it's going to freak out. make sure it has good roots before you snip the buds. it is going to freak out. i will get single bladed leaves. it will start to grow all crazy. but........ eventually it will start to get normal growth.

I'm gonna wait until daylight so I don't make any mistakes with scissors!
fdd, do you recommend a particular soil mix for this?
