It always took me closer to two weeks to see roots. But I stuck my clones in the middle of my rockwool, not all the way through.

And you put the seed husk up.. that little white thing growing out is the root.

I dont germinate in a towel. I just plant the seed in the rockwool, leave it misted and under the humidome with the 2 CFLs on them.

Was wondering how I should place the seed in the rockwool =P I know when germ'd in a towel... the root goes down into the rockwool. But prior to the root starting;; how does one estimate how to properly germinate a seed in rockwool?

Why would you put a seed into rockwool without germing it? lol..

Throw some seeds in distilled or RO water and wait til they pop. You know, keep em in dark warm places, the usual. I've never had a good seed not germ this way.

Is your rockwool soaking wet? They are drooping really bad man. They also don't need much light at all. IMO rockwool is a bit of a bitch for a beginner. Try jiffys. Cheaper and so much easier! I took a clone a few nights ago because I found a single jiffy pellet lol. Will be getting more soon to do more .Check out my pics. Not even bothering with my heat mat this time as you can see i just have my humidicrib sitting on top of my lights. All I did was cut the clone, stuck it in the jiffy and then put the lid on. Didn't mist it or anything and have not touched it since lol. IMG_1165.jpgIMG_1162.jpg

So you don't have to touch it. I soak my seeds overnight in tap water and then put them straight into jiffy pellets or rockwool cubes. Its the best way as you never have to touch something thats just sprouted that should not be touched or moved around...

And be REALLY careful not to get those rockwool cubes too wet. Its the easiest mistake to make with rockwool.

What problem comes from putting a clone into a cube that is too wet? I put them into soaking cubes and it works for me no problem.
Ive just seen them do exactly what these are doing and the cubes that were wetter were worse. Maybe it had nothing to do with it... If its not that I don't know why they would wilt...... Too hot? Too much light? Ummmmmmm....

Just use tweezers and be careful not to touch the root. You can f@#$ with the husk all you want

If my clones dont work, Ill try other means. The clones are droppy because they are top heavy. They were like that when I putt them in. It has zero to do with my setup. I cutt it from lower branches and because my SIX PLANTS are so crowded, the stems have grown in a crown shape (upward towards the light and away from other plants.)

I have not been "home" to check on my plants/clones. I putt my 600w on a 12/12 timer and having my roommate top off the res and spray the clones 2-3 times a day (I expect the clones to be dead and the PH/EC of my res to be F**ked when I get home LOLOL). Granted I dont have an HPS light or flower nutes;; I just need to clear the males for room ASAP. They are over 30 inches tall now (when I checked 3 days ago...). ;P Im hoping for 2-3 females. I'll end up chopping the weakest females if I get more than 3 females.

On a positive note, Im working and making money for my 6'x8'x80" grow room ;P .... Ill-matic. Construction begins as soon as I get back home & settled.

So a "bubble cloner" is just a DWC setup for smaller cuttings? I think Ill turn my current DWC/bubble into a "cloner" next grow. Im currently looking at "Under Current" DWC setups. Link below for those interested.

YES; they are expensive. Anyone ever order one? Or hear of them? If they are as advertised... I wouldnt mind buying a setup (either 4 or 6 chamber). If they are not, Ill be making my own DWC 5-gal setups.

so whats going on here, theres nothing wrong with planting a seed straight on rockwool i do it all the time, works fuckin awesome. Make sure you plant seeds pointy side down ALWAYS, also make sure you dont mist too much or you will fuck them up and when you pull them out of the humidome they will shrivel on you even if they have roots, because you got em used to such high humidity, keep it around 70-80 percent mist once a day at the most, clones droop because you possibly didnt cut the leaves for transpiration. So they droop for a while, they will perk back up, some wont, you will get some of them though for SURE. Cloning is the easiest thing in the world to do its SO not hard at all.

You know to DIY yourself man you're no noob =p

Anyways a side note: Aeroponics is stronger than DWC to clone in.. Even though I hate to admit it XD

Anyone have a link to a DIY rdwc with 5 gal buckets? Anyone have suggestions for a DIY aeroponics cloner? XD

Kapt kron..... How do you cutt your leaves for transpiration? In half vertically or horizontally? I cutt some bigger fan leaves off. I read somewhere that it was best to only have 2-3 leaves.

just wondering how your wonder woman is doing. I have some going and am not totally happy to be honest. My pheno is very sativa based which isnt bad but i was hoping for shorter. For some reason the wonder woman is super sensitive. Whats your experience? Good buds by the way. Pretty dense and sticky and stinky, just touchy plants, not sure whats wrong with them, could be me lol

Mine arent tall but they arent short either haha. WoWo is a skunk so make assumptions based on that. Im not happy with mine either As my mysterious defiency slowly kills healthy leaves.
