Wood or Mold Resistant Sheetrock for interior of cabinet?

About to start constructing my cabinet. 2 sections, both 3x3x6. The exterior of the cabinet will be constructed using Oak plywood. Would it be better for my inside walls to be constructed with that same Oak plywood or to use that mold resistant sheetrock? The internal walls are going to be painted, not covered in mylar if that makes a difference. Just not sure if one or the other deals with heat better or is more or less prone to be affected by bugs, disease, mold etc.

Was also considering insulating between the interior and exterior walls to help with sound.

if you have proper ventilation, you don't have to get any mold resistant walls. paint the wood well with complete coating, bare wood is not good for pest control. i prefer paint so do many experienced growers for its simplicity and consistency, mylar is hard to keep unwrinkled and it stains. insulation can help maintaining temps but thats only if you have heater or a/c in there.

I'll agree with zem and add don't skimp out on the primer. Get a good exterior grade. Also, wind movement helps a ton against mold.

I would use cedar, the scent is a natural pest repellent.
I use the mold/pest resistant styrofoam insulation.
they sell it at home depot for like $10 a 4x8' sheet.
also my intake has a nice HEPA filter on it so the incoming
air is 99.9% free of mold and other nasties.

paint the interior with bathroom ceiling white paint, its got a fungacide built in

dont try for a natural pest repellent, if you want to reoel pests, get some chemical pesticide (not during last 3 weeks and not on bud sites)

nature is not your friend

i dont know if you have a homedepot near your place... they have a sale this weekend on their behr paint... the primer and premium in one with nano guard does very very well on reflecting uv lighting... you can read their fact sheet on behr's website(if interested)....

...plus you only need one coat...

NEVRPEEL is an excellent product to seal a wood with. Even comes in white.
