I was growing a feminized afghan kush from world of seeds and one week in it turned out to be a hermphrodite. I tried to take pics but my camera sucks, has anyone else had luck with world of seeds.

aw shit for real? wonder if everyone who's ever grow this strain from this producer gets hermi .. .

i doubt it's the strain or the company thats the problem. if you order feminized seeds from any company you run the risk of hermies, I personally will never grow from feminized seeds, which sucks because alot of the companys are offering only fem. seeds now.

that kind of sounds like some heresay shit with no scientific evidence whatsoever . . .

how exactly does a feminised seed make it more likely to hermaphrodite? that doesn't make any sense bro.

bah after some extended reading it turns out I misread the method of feminizing seeds . . . turns out it's all based around hermaphrodite seeds . . .

so I guess the trick to the success of feminized seeds is treating that plant as nicely as possible . . . but it can't be called a stable strain because of the hermaphrodite basis.

sorry for calling that heresay bs, it just sounded like it because you didn't post a link at first ;).

No expert, but I'm felling what KxH420 is saying.....I dont purchase Fem Beans...Not above growing them tho....I bred a fem seed from white label and the F1s produce about 20-30% hermi...Some were svere and beyond saving IMO, some not so bad....I had never had a hermi until then...Believe me it wasn't due 2 environment, light stress or anything like that..Its in the genes...My Teacher let me know that breeding with fems is a no no, so I no longer purchase fems...However I will say that the bud that was saved from my hermies was great but not worth the hassel and risk of seeding the crop!

PEOPLE ARE PAYING EXTRA MONEY FOR A HIGHER CHANCE OF HERMIES! fuckin christ.

i did a couple runs with it, wasn't anything to write home about but decent indeed, hardly any trichs, very faint smell after a month long cure, no taste but not bad tasting, decent yield

mine are coming out very nice, they are 32 days old, and have buds all over them and the white hairs everywhere, and a few orange ones. I am very happy with it. It is about 2ft tall and about 2ft wide. I think i might be cropping at around 45 days i think

One week in to what...flower? Seems awfully early to be determine sex.

And regarding hermies, I've had a few bananas on every feminized plant I've grown. Not many, but a few. You just have to be vigilant and inspect your buds. Bananas are a noticeably different color (yellow) from the surrounding bud, and can be carefully plucked out with tweezers without much trouble.

I'll say this though, I would much rather grow out 1 seed knowing it's a female than 3 seeds where I might not get any. Once you start cloning it's not an issue, but it sucks to veg a plant from seed for 2 months and have it be a male.

Oh, and I have an afghan kush feminized seed of theirs I'm hanging on to until I move. Looking forward to it though.
