would this light be ok for vegatation?

i am going to use a T5 with 4 grow bulbs in it and im going to have 45watt cfl's aiming on the sides of my plant on each side of the plant and im going to have carboard all around this with mylar on the inside of the cardboard with a fan sucking the hot air out of it if theres hot air is this a pritty good setup for vegatation?

yes... this would work.. jus make sure you use a pretty big cardboard box... because I've heard that t-5's give off a little heat... and you wanna have room for your plants to veg...

I heard they give off very little heat. you can put them an inch a way from your sprouts.

How many 45w CFLs? I use 10 26 watt and they are doing an aweome job. I also use 5 24" floro tubes, but in the light of the 10 CFLs, you can not even tell if they are on.

A T5 tube puts out a lot more heat than a T12, and since the T5's are smaller, they go closer together in the fixture, and the heat is more intense.

One inch away from a T5 will destroy healthy foliage.
