separate the plants, get something a bit bigger than that crate and paint it white or mylar line it. If your going to spend money on nutes and stuff, do a little more research and spend a little money on getting the environment closer to optimal. Oh yeah and get a bunch more of those cfls, like one or two more for now and in a couple weeks get a bunch more. check the soil every other day, probably will have to water every other day or so, just let the soil get completely dry all the way down, you want to promote the roots to stretch out and fill the whole pot. I read somewhere that the amount of roots you have will be a direct reflection of how much plant matter is created, thats why you step up from small pots to 3-7 gallon pots.

no they are small right now. the roots will be focused in a downward way now and when they hit the bottom they will spread out from there, so try and cut the dirt halfway and put it in a new pot and fill in with more dirt, but since they are so small they arent really ready for a formal transplant so try your best to not expose the roots

I put a plastic shield between mine... Just cut a plastic square out of anything (plastic milk carton) something relatively flat and place it CAREFULLY between the plants...

It could be anything really just not cardboard because it will get wet and mold... I thought about wrapping cardboard in plastic wrap and duct tape but i just happen to have a plastic piece just the right size that my mouse came in...

I am glad i save junk things like that... =]

Also get that light close as you can to those puppies they are already stretching and falling over looking for light... Add some more soil to give them more stability... Again carefully... =]
