 So, as usual, white guy isn't a criminal, guy with higher infra-red absorption spectrum skin gets screamed at. But the woman at the end... that was a twist I didn't expect.
Now do it with a black woman trying to take the bike.

i feel like the only way they could make this worse is to put an asian lady at the end trying to kung fu chop the lock, and getting help from some italians with slicked back hair.

simply ridiculous.
GENIUS! You just came up with the plot for the next viral YT vid. Spoof these "news" stories into absurdity.

If people weren't so used to seeing most crime committed by black people, the story might have turned out different.

And this isn't necessarily a racist statement. I agree most theft is poverty driven. I would guess theft rates amongst similar SES whites and blacks is closer to just a simple racial divide.

Problem is there are so many more poor blacks. That's the leading face of theft.

same script, same attire, two completely different reactions.

besides the well known and documented SES factors, this highlights that another contributing factor is simply the reaction from racists like you, bigotednbushy.

even wealthy blacks are targeted by the police at a much higher rate than wealthy whites are. when you assign the "face of theft" to one race or the other, it's gonna become a self fulfilling prophecy.

If you look for it, you will find it.

Too bad similiar attention is not given to white collar criminals. The day the business world knows their crimes could result in forced sodomy is the day they will stop their criminality. Barring, of course, the minority who enjoy forced sodomy. Usually corporate america prefers to be the sodomizer not sodomizee. If only corporate america could feel what it's like to be a bottom! Bottoms up!

I don't disagree. There are more law abiding blacks than not. Problem is they break most of the laws also.

If you want to stop crime, keep your eyes on those most likely to commit them. You and I both know who that is. We also both know that it tells you nothing about if a particular person, regardless of race or SES, is going to commit a crime.

If you don't want people thinking you're an up to no good drug dealer, don't dress like this guy.

In a truly free society we should all be able to dress, or undress for that matter, without fear of police harassment. Common practice suggests the opposite.

I dress like a homey when it suits me (think: they need to know not to fuck about),like a banker when needed (think:job interview, applying for mortgage), like middle-class geek (the other ones accept me). no, i am not a chameleon. just use my noggin

Whilst 'homey-like' cops have gotten in my face. I respond with: "How may I assist officer? ". They do have guns and badges. Respect works and flows back to me. I give it to all and it is returned.

The key words are, "in a truly free society." How do we get that?
