Wow, My Life Got Worse!

So if anyone read my other thread a while ago, it stated that my long term boyfriend turned out to be a huge pathologically lying drug addict, who stole priceless jewelry from my family and bosses family. YESTERDAY I GET THE BEST NEWS

Apparently when our apartment was "broken into" the day we moved, it was HIM! he stole my room-mates stuff, and PAWNED it, and they found the receipts. Since when it happened I had no idea, i told them he was with me and such, they now think that I was IN ON IT with him...I'm being charged with SERIOUS crimes and im FLIPPING OUT!!!!

he better own up to his mistakes and sign that abudavit or whatever the fuck it is, becase he knows and the rest of the world (other than the police station) knows I did not do it. Im furious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been a victim since the beginning and dont have any sort of criminal record, why the FUCK do they think I had anything to do with it? I mean they're charging me with the SAME things as my exboyfriend! He has a criminal record and everything, where I had nothing to do with any of that either, and they STILL thing I have something to do with it?!?!?!?!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Im lucky to be in it with the governor around here, I got a great attorney...
everyone says that theres no way the charges will stick, and that ill be okay no matter what my ex-boyfriend decides to say.. but either way
I'm a nanny and a college student with no criminal record. This is devastating. :(

I think the only feeble leg they would have to stand on would be if your ex implicates you in court.

I hear you but like everyone said the charges wont stick..All you have to say is he is a ex boyfriend who is a liar and drug addicr who would do and say anything..shit say he stole something of yours too..
btw what city is this?

part of your problem might have been that you lied to the police...

i told them he was with me and such, they now think that I was IN ON IT with him...
No, all of your problem is that you lied to police...

WTF were you thinking?

You'll be ok. There is no evidence of you helping him out. Especially if he had to break in and he wasn't let in. Sounds like they're trying to get you to give them info on your ex. Your attorney will get the charges dropped if he's good like you say.

Good luck

I never lied to the police. I told them he was with me all friday, which is true, but they know that he went back to the apt BY HIMSELF thursday, which was when we told the police was the last time anyone was here. BY HIMSELF. so i also dont see why they didnt notice that? We clearly both stated he was alone..so thats obviously when he did it. Its just I stated that Logan "would'nt do that" which i believed, is it so hard for people to believe that i was blinded?? Im only guilty of being trusting and naive, which i dont think is worth jail time :(

Yeah, I hope it all works out that way. I've heard even if he does try to sell me out, that they will find a way around it. After i kicked him out he went back home (Maine, from Baltimore, MD where i live) and he got himself arrested for STEALING AND BREAKING AND ENTERING one WEEK after going to maine! HE'S CLEARLY THE CRIMINAL HERE, COME ON!!!

*deep breath* *bong hit* *deep breath*

OH yeah, so after I found out he's a crazy psycho path, I realize the time he "left his wallet" at this job place, and the 90 dollars for bill money i had got "stolen" is all bull shit, so im gonna tell them that story.. cause im sure i could think of more. I just realize how good of a liar he was. he had my whole family fooled...hes lived with both my parents at one point...like whaaa

So you vouched for him even though you weren't actually with him at the time?

I've read your responses and it just doesn't add up. If there was a 2 day time frame of no one being there why would thursday evening, or over night on thursday not be a possible time for the crime? What good does having an alibi for only a portion of the time when the crime could possibly be committed?

Not your fault you trusted him, i was victim to a similar situation, best way to cover your ass is get the pawn shop guys to witness who pawned the items, i know in canada u must show a valid id and records are keept at most pawn shops (most not all) But any sane judge will look at his record and yours, if he has a past it wont help him. i'm very sorry this has all happened, i was really hoping to hear good news from u when u came back from your vacation

you'll be ok with the legal stuff but holy life. really though. also don't beat yourself up over trusting him. the whole leap of faith thing is what makes relationships so tricky. you're supposed to be able to trust the ones you love so it doesn't automatically make you some kind of idiot.

Thanks guys. I just feel so guilty.. I can't replace the items he's taken, and they were all very sentimental to my family and my boss. It sucks to leap and fall so hard. I do know now how to protect myself better..

Saw my attorney today, he practically laughed at my charges. He said that theres no way I 'broke in' to my own apartment (burglary) no items were in my posessions (theft) and the police officer didnt even write down any STATEMENTS for me to FALSEY make (false statement) so like….wheres the crime here? He said it was a brand new cop.. the other funny part, is that when my apt got broken into i called the police dept multiple times trying to get a hold of teh officer so i could find out who broke in!! I really wanted to know obviously, and in my charges he wrote "Ms. "beep" called the police dept. multiple times stating that the investigation was not being taken seriously" I never said those words, but I did sorta sound frustrated I guess. So apparently this brand new cop has issues with me, and my attorney is certain he'll have the charges dismissed. They have nothing on me. That cop has a bad attitude for revenge over his incompetence to do his job.

Anyways, gonna go medicate :eyesmoke:

Get yourself the book "Women Who Love Too Much" it is written for women. But I have several male friends that have read it and say it is so insightful. Everyone sees themselves in this book and it helps you understand why you are attracted to the men you are. And will help you... Damn, just get the book it works.
