I have 4 foot fluorescents, they are 4 units that hold 2 bulbs/unit... my closet is not 4 foot which prevents me from hanging my lights horizontally... if I hang these fluorescents vertically against each wall will my plants get enough light for veg?? is there any reason people do not hang fluorescents this way??

um, no they will not get enough light i believe lol. cause they take in their most light, from the top :) so, might wanna try moving some shit around :-P good luck :)

I wouldn't recommend lights on the side UNLESS they will be there to compliment a BIGGER light on top.

But fuck it!! Try it out & let us know the results. Im guessing that the plants will grow wide, and the branches will grow to long to support any bud.

the only time i have seen floros vertically on the sides are when your trying to get more light to the lower branches of the plant. other then that everything i see is hung above the tops

Check out the link in my sig. Absolutely no reason why they can't be hung that way. You could even stick them vertically in the corners and supplement with hanging cfl's. I say go for it! I'd do a red and blue spectrum for each unit. Good luck I know this will work. Plant leaves will turn towards the light. Bonus: they will grow out and up instead up straight up.

Check out my sig for ideas

it depends on the lumems...and marijuana plants can't get enough of em...so yeah without a doubt if you surround your plants with light they will consume it...every angle covered
