WTF is this, and how do I kill it?

Quick backstory: my room isn't ventilated so I usually only grow in the winter months. I changed by dwc setup recently and started bagseed just for the hell of it to get a feel for the setup before growing from some seed. Now, I'm growing some WW fem at the moment, but letting two of the bagseed go along with her for the time being. So, back to the problem.. Had the door to my room open a few nights early on with the bagseed to help with the heat and we had a freaking plague of moths this year. Got some neem oil and sprayed a few times, as I noticed the moths would congregate at the base of my plants and generally tore my leaves up. Since that time I've completely washed out my buckets and sanitized, but not thinking I just let the bagseed plants hang out to the side still in their pots and hydroton.

OK, so while looking at my roots, my WW seedling is looking good, with one nice long tap hanging down, about where it feels like it needs to be for her age. Well one of the bagseed plants has nothing hanging out of the netpot, which has kept me curious so I've been kinda keeping an eye on it. Finally start poking around, and I find this:

I know I can chuck the bagseed plant and no big deal, but if by some chance they hit the seedlings I've spent money on, how the hell do I kill them? I'm guessing it's the larva of a moth and it's munching around the rootzone of my netpot, if not does anyone have a better theory and/or suggestions on how to kill them?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

IMAG3371.jpg Another pic. I just sat the netpot in a bowl and soaked the hell out of the hydroton with a pretty high concentration of neem oil. Waited a few minutes, came back and there are three trying to climb the sides of the bowl. So, I'm guessing I'm repeating the process a couple more times with the other plants just in case.

Man those suckers are ugly!

I think you're doing the right thing by dunking them.
They don't like it and are heading for the hills or maybe drowning .
Put one in a jar and see how long it lives after treatment of neem or whatever.

Doesn't seem to kill them, but they sure don't care for the oil. I'm looking all over the web, but still haven't figured out what they are.
