Kids need a swat when they are about 3-4 years old and held accountable.

you could always try to catch him doing something on video. then the next time you see him you could paintball his ass bright pink so he can't hide. then when he tries to rat you out just say, "officer i don't know about all that but i have a video you might be interested in..." this isn't even my beef and i want that punk to PAY. put up some surveilance and get your neighbors to do the same. trust and believe me when i tell you that this type of stuff and the way people react to it will make or break a neighborhood eventually. i've watched it happen. and your quote by the way is by edmund burke and it goes like this, "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." and truer words have never been spoken.

I tried that once as a kid. Told my parents they couldn't touch me or I'de call the CPS. I was sure it would scare them off but they just started laughing at me. I told them I was serious and not fucking around at which point my my mother said to me, "I happen to know the police station is at least 15 minutes away and the local CPS office further than that. If you are going to call, call, but during those 15 minutes your ass is ours and that should be plenty of time." Then of course reminded me of the horrible conditions of group homes while spanking the crap out of me.

I now know I was a brat at that time but if it wasn't for the punishments I most likely would have never noticed and would probably be a brat to this date. It is just so sad when parents refuse to discipline thinking they are helping their kids when they are really just hurting them. Ever seen the ladies in the grocery store with the kids that just scream at the top of their lungs till they get everything they want? I come sooo close to going over and hitting the kids myself which, from what I hear, 30 years ago would have been the norm. Now a days I would get my ass sued off.

I used to spray paint train cars when I was a kid, but that's about it.

LOL racerboy you know what you could do besides beating their ass or breaking their stuff, if you know of a "schedule" of when they normally come by like on the weekends or some shit you could be waiting outside in the bushes with a scary mask or something and scare the hell out of them, which isn't illegal if you don't want to risk anything. It may not be enough revenge but hell its an idea if you ever get the chance lol

you hit the nail on the head. it's not so much the "ass beating" or the "smack", it's the correlation that kids make between action and consequence. no concequence, no correlation, no lesson. some kids just need a look, others need a smack, but they ALL need to be corrected when they act up. parents just don't seem to feel that responsibility any more. "listen lady, i don't give a shit about you or your stress. just be a fucking parent and keep your kid out of society's hair. the villiage no longer has the legal right to raise your kid for you so fucking do it yourself you stupid hag." that's what i want to say to those parents.

yah, i don't know how much room i have to talk being i'm not a parent myself, but my nephew is damn close to me, almost to the point that he considers me a father figure i like to think.. and even after i beat his ass the other day, the kid was all over my at my other sister house for easter dinner.. sits right next to me, put is head on my shoulder, he still knows i love him to death, just now he also knows that i'm not going to put up with any of his bullshit games either.. i kinda think it made him respect me more for it to be honest.. the week before i told him the next shit i hear about him, i'm going to beat his ass.. so, when i heard about his latest shit, i felt obligated to hold up my end of the bargain, otherwise, he never would have had any respect for me..

lol.. i've actually thought of this idea.. but the lil fucker isn't as dumb as he looks, and keeps switching up his times and shit.. it used to be right around 9 pm or so, but lately he's been coming earlier or later..
my luck, i'd be sitting out in the bushes waiting for him and die of a heat stroke or something, lol...

Pro child molestation and domestic violence? I can see what you mean a litle but most of those comments are said in jest and are not to be taken seriously. This thread however, is just about kids not getting the proper punishment. The punishment doesn't have to be violent, especially in today's age where we can deprive them of so many things they take for granted, but if you don't follow through when you say your going to punish them they will walk all over you. Abusing a child is a lot different than spanking them on the ass when you told them you would and they disobeyed you anyways. I know when I was growing up the neighbors would have dragged my ass to my doorstep and tell my parents and they would sort me out, I think that's best in this kind of situation. The parents may not be aware that it's happening at least give them the opportunity to punish them as they see fit and hopefully they learn their lesson.

Actually, us late 30 parents, at least this one, received plenty of ass whoopins. It' society that has us holding back. One non bruising ass smack does more good than all the time-outs in the world. However, if your kid should say Mommy hit me or Daddy spanked me, you can bet DYFS would be pounding on your door damn quick. My kids think I'm so strict, but my Mom was way more strict then me. I just got away with more cause she was at work til 6. I haunt my kids all the time!

And if one of my kids ever defaced someone's personal property, I'd make them scrub it off with a damn toothbrush until every mark was gone.
