Interest thing is... It's about WHO you know when it comes to processing a steer. I know an insider that's getting me in for Nov to process. But if you just call up a local beef processor, your appointment is going to be Nov of 2022!.... crazy!. I guess people are figuring out that store bought meat is pretty shitty beef... and if you process your own, it's only about $4 a lb. steaks, to loin, to hamburger.

Man, we do this a couple times a year. We'll have the whole family come out, cook steaks on the fire ring, shoot guns, blow up some Tanerite, open bar.. we do it right at The Compound.

We used to have a huge field party every year. Trailer sized grills, school busses on boggers, Gatorade coolers filled with Bahama Mama's, craw fish/shrimp boil, and a fire that was stoked and loaded with a bobcat. Had about a mile of off road trails on private property connected to the field.
The guy who threw the party had an 80s model Toyota with a small block chevy in it on 35s. I remember driving it over the ridge with about 12 people in the truck. As I come over the ridge, the owner leans over and tells me "halfway down the hill, the truck is gonna lose its brakes, but don't worry, just keep pumping and theyll come back before we get to the bottom."
Now we're driving over the ridge, to go to another field party on the other side. Probably only 50 or 60 people, but they are set up just past the mouth of the trail coming down this steep hill. So we head down the hill, sure as shit the brakes go halfway down the hill, and I'm picking up speed. I've got 100' until the woods open up, and another 50' before I'm in the middle of a campfire surrounded by atvs and big trucks, when the brakes come back. We slide to a stop about 20' short of disaster. Those were the days :bigjoint:

Agreed we should all be nicer and open we all have that dem rep mentality everybody even if it’s not political when did asking a simple question
They're just starting to teach classes in school where kids learn different viewpoints in online news and social media. They're learning how to tell the difference between an ad and a review. I hope IRA bots are added to the curriculum.

For now, the internet is full of people who don't understand the difference between "research" and "algorithmic feeds".

I'd like to think it'll get better. The internet and its attendant mis/disinformation is entrenching tribalism for now. As long as we survive the learning curve, I do think it will improve.

In the meantime, my general advice is this: someone else is the hero of the story you're in, you are not some special person with access to information no one else has, and quit getting so worked up over something some random stranger says on the internet.
i think everybody should just have to go back to the dewie decimal system and read a newspaper and read a book or sixty for their info everybody’s opinions where not as important then for some reason all the internet is is a platform to spread misinformation and start arguments anymore Facebook google all them should be held accountable for Wild West way they operate and let this info get out you guys wait china is doing math and science 7 days a week and building war ships like crazy we are fighting and lying and getting fat and arguing about public bathrooms at schools just wait history always repeats itself to those who do not learn form it
