Hey folks, Was wondering... I've got my entire grow room set up, it's int he attic, it has a metal roof, insulated to R30... but I'm still paranoid. Found myself wondering.. "Shit... if only I could have a CLUE as to what the chopper could see when they're flying over top of my house". Then, I realized; AHA! I own an XBOX Kinect, which happens to have an infrared camera on it! I've done some research, and have come up with nothing. No clue on whether it is suitable to see the temperature of my roof, walls, etc. Is this good enough to use as an FLIR device to at least have some sort of clue as to whether or not this will give me a glimpse of what LEO sees when they fly over? If my roof is hot, I'll shut the whole operation down right now.

hahaha no. The xbox kinect does stand a chance at giving you an idea at what they could see. If you want something remotely similar go on ebay and by a FLIR yourself. I have one, it was $800, and I use it in the lab(studying to be a chemE). The xbox kinect is not nearly strong enough, nice thought though
