yellow leaves

hello everyone im growing in coco 70% and perlite 30% im using a 250w hps cool tube with 6inch extractor fan im using canna brand nute a/b im using cal mag i had overwatering problems about a week ago ive been PH my water and nutes at 5.8 to 6.1 ec has been 0.7 but my tap water ec is 0.3 on its own I know its really small for its age 23 days because I had overwatering problems at the beginning but the leaves are really light green/ yellowish and im not sure why I've gone up to 1.0 ec and still staying yellow and im confused to why please help they just started growing again but really slowly

your under watering your coco

I never had a problem with overwatering coco? don't think you can. unless your wicking up your runoff

I was drowning it lol

Hiya mate , your over feeding , .7 ec is a LITTLE strong , so 1 ec is far to strong for young plant like that .
The yellowing is another sign of over feeding . Stop the cal/mag . As you say your tap water is .3 alone so already has those minerals in it .
So lower ya feed to .5ec for a week or 2 and slowly increase . And cut out the cal/mag . That will sort ya problem out .

Also water around the plant NOT at the base .

Yeh , ya can over water coco IF ya pots are not rooted out properly . That's from my own experience though .

Needs mag pretty common with coco. Foliar feed them some epsom salt at 1/4 tsp per quart till the mag catches up

Only need the mag IF his water is soft . Otherwise if his water medium to medium /hard the cal/mag is not needed but always keep a bottle just incase

Yeah but coco locks up mag until it's cation is full so if the coco needed buffering it's going to need more calmag in the beginning. I use canna and find it varies by bag. I never buffer and sometimes they go yellow and sometimes not but a few sprays of epsom green them back up real quick. Only takes like two sprays a few days apart. It could be from overwatering but they aren't droopy and the leaves aren't wrinkley so probably not that.

na just put in spray bottle for the leaves when lights are off

never. you need to get 10-20% runoff, everyday water!

Don't say never mate .
YES ya CAN .
Ya can over water little plants that are in big pots that havnt rooted out properly . Ya can suffocate the young roots IF ya keeping the coco soaking wet continually .
It's happened to me in the past and set me back a couple weeks

most commonly missed aspect to coco is feeding the coco calmag to buffer and remember as it dries out your EC will rise, I think common fertigation for multiple feeds is 4x daily without ill affect (decent root system as mentioned earlier), your better of feeding a lower ec more times then flooding and drying in coco.

I liked coco for a bit but have fallen in love with perlite as a medium , seems to provide alittle less speed of growth but easier to water hempy style. you really can't over water 100 perlite, but I keep learning and now might shift to promix on top perlite in the res. coco does vary from distributor, perlite pretty much always the same and way cheaper
