Yellowing Leaves only halfway through flower

I have two White Widow plants growing in FF ocean forest under LED that are 4.5 weeks into an approx 8 week flower. I noticed this morning that some of the fan leaves have some brown spots, are yellowing and some even have dried up a little. I know that this is more or less normal during flower but it feels a little early and I am wondering if this could be a deficiency? If so what do you think it is?

I have been feeding fox farm trio for nutes and have followed their feeding guide pretty closely and kept PH between 6.3-6.8. I water every 5-6 days or when the soil is dry or I see the first signs of drooping. The plants are heavily scrogged in 10gal fabric pots. Thanks for the help.

Your problem is quite commonly seen on RIU when someone uses ffof soil with the ff trio of nutes and follows their feeding schedule closely. Most often the problem is over fertilization.

Some plants just do that when they flower. They are annuals. Nature "intends" for them to die after they reproduce. It could just be a sign of aging, like men losing their hair. As long as the newer leaves look healthy, no need to panic. Stick to the feeding plan and it will probably work out just fine.

We tend to stay a ways under their recommend ppm but I will keep that in mind.

I was wondering about that, just felt a little early. I hope you are correct since it is lower, older leaves only so far.

There are a number of growers on each side of the debate about lower leaves dying off and the reasons for it happening.
My view is the lower leaves will not die off unless something is off.
Improper watering, improper fertilizing, the condition of the soil and environment are the more likely reasons for cannabis loosing lower leaves IMO at this stage of flowering.
This is one of many discussions that won't be resolved any time soon.
Picture taken a few hours ago of plants that are 4 weeks into flowering and have an average height of 52" from the soil line. The yellow leaf was plucked after the pictures for a grow comp. I'm not anticipating loosing any other lower fan leaves for a while.
Happy Growing!
