Yet another 12/12 from clone/seed grow :D

Hmmm where should I start... This is my second 'official' grow but my first grow is still in progress. I have 3 other ladies about 5 1/2 weeks
old, they have been under 12/12 for about a week but they are already getting SUPER tall and stretchy. Maybe it's the strain or the summer
heat but I'm afraid they might out-grow my closet space They are almost 3ft tall and if they double in size by harvest time I'll have to take
drastic measures (don't ask lol).

My first mistake was not doing enough research on the Pure Power Plant strain before buying beans, apperently I'm not the only one who
experienced major stretch with them. My second mistake was vegging them for a month under HPS which only made them taller. Next time I will
start my grow in the fall/winter so the temps don't get so high, and I'll stop being cheap and use MH for veg. I'm not giving up yet but I don't
expect much from them. But all hope is not lost because I'm starting a new grow

I started with 5 feminized Master Kush seeds from nirvana that I purchased the same time as the PPP about 2 months ago. I was saving them for
my next op, until a good friend here on RIU (I won't mention his name unless he wants me to) was kind enough to drive to my side of town and
trade a few of them for a rooted Durban Poison clone! I planted the clone in soil as soon as I got it and stuck it under the HPS with the rest
of my plants. I had 2 MK beans left so I said what the hell and germinated them too

I've done some reading and 12/12 from clone/seed seems like my best bet since I only have a 250watt HPS, and I don't want to disturb the light
cycle of my other plants. Well, let me know what you think! I'll take some new pics as soon as the seeds root and sprout soil. Feel free to post
comments, any advice will be +appreciated!

nice, the 12/12 from seed will be much bigger and have a greater yield than the clone.

really you think so? I've seen some great results with 12/12 from seed on this site. I was told the clone would yield about 1oz, so 3+ oz total would be awesome

here's a few more pics of the DP clone in better light, I'm still waiting on the seeds to crack. I just started feeding Age Old Bloom nutes yesterday, there's a little yellowing on the new growth not sure if the nutes are causing it:

I'm just growing the seeds for fun since I only have 2, I'm not really concerned with yield as I am with height. Plus 12/12 from seed just looks like fun lol

Yes it does sound like fun.Im gonna try that some time down the line.Ill probably do it from clones tho

The kush seeds cracked yesterday, so I planted them in soft drink cups and watering once daily until they sprout soil. I also started some minor LST training on the durban clone, I know this should be done in veg but I just tied the stalk down a little so the smaller branches can get more light. Here's a few more HPS pics, sorry for the bad quality I'm getting a new camera soon

yeah, sorry I haven't updated this thread in a while. I'm kinda pissed because the seeds germinated but they never sprouted soil, I gave up on them after like a week. This isn't the first time I've had bad luck with master kush seeds either, maybe it just wasn't meant to be

yeah that's what I plan to do. I've been saving up for my next grow, my first investment is a 400w MH/HPS, this 250w isn't cutting it lol. I don't think I'll purchase from nirvana-shop any more, this is the second time their master kush has given me problems. I've been looking at attitude they have a much better selection and everyone on riu swares by them.

here's a few more pics of the clone in my bathtub Lol, the only place with good enough light for pics. 5 weeks and counting... the upper leaves are starting to curl and turn brown but i'm guessing thats normal

thanks for stopping by this will be my first real harvest so i'm pretty excited, only 3 weeks left the pistils are starting to turn bright orange everywhere and the leaves are getting real sticky

Yea man its lookin really good after your 1st harvest it will get alot easyer well at least it did with me hahaha but anyways keep up the good work!!!

I love Age Old I think I'll keep using it from now on. Very easy to measure and the NPK values are perfect for a beginner like me. It's almost impossible to damage your plants with it lol

here it is... the moment we've all been waiting for, at least I have anyway lol

The o.g. told me to chop at 8 weeks so that's exactly what I did. I probably should've let her go another week but I'm desparate if you know what I mean I didn't weigh it wet because I don't want to be dissapointed but I'll weigh it when its fully dry. It's not the biggest yield in the world but alot more than I expected of 12/12 from clone with a single 250w hps. All in all I'm happy with my first successful grow, I learned ALOT and it only gets better from here Thanks to everyone here at RIU for all the help and advice!
