Yield...

well perhaps 1 pound is an exageration but 3.5 ounces sounds reasonable...and a plant given 1 sqft. with the recommended 3-4k lumens will produce 3.5 - 4 oz (4oz is what i heard from a link that someone on this forum gave me, urbangrower.com vol1) a canadian home grower said that he gets 4ozs per plant...so don't patronize me with "36 plants yield only 2 pounds" more like 6 pounds at least given the criteria mentioned above...

Well I don't know anyone that has ever grown a plant to produce a pound of weed but I know if possible. I also know that a plant can get as tall as 20ft. Thats one big ass plant.

let me try to help. 6" pots they are squezzed in so we will say 1 plant equals 6" x 6". 4 plants equal 1 square foot. 1000w putting out 50,000 lumens at the plant (i have a meter). i think that's it.

4 White Widow, taking up 1sqf at 11 weeks of flower produced 3 oz of dried manicured bud.

i hope this helps.

more like 12"x12" = one square foot and the 1000w that I'll be using is more like 150k lumens...

I think I'll be doing most of my research using google form now on...people have been telling me that you can get only 2 pounds from 36 plants but after reading an article from what seems to be a credible source here's what I found:
Wow that is kinda of a bold statment. We having been giving you the right answer the whole time. Its not the answer you want to hear. Good luck getting your 13 pounds per plant or whatever ridiclous amount you think you are going to get. You are obvisouly very inexperienced at this, so why are you bucking what EVERYONE has told you over and over? I wish you, google, and you "CREDIBLE" source good luck as you are setting you self up for disappointment and failure.

And yes the above statement pissed me off.

Ok after smoking a bowl i am a little more calm. Ok I am about to give you some case studies. Which means this info i am giving you is documented grows that were done in real life.

1. Veg 47 plants with a 1000w Mh. Flowered them for 8 weeks under 1040w of light. Plants were 18-24 inches tall when done. the space was 120sq ft. This grower yeilded 11.5oz of dried bud. Yeah that was real life with your 1000w light, done by someone with more experience than you I am sure.

2. Flowered 12 plants for 8 weeks. With agian 1000w. the space was 10x10ft. Harvest plant height was 3-4ft and yeilded only 2 once of bud. This was the growers second grow.

3. 60 plants flowered for 8 weeks. using 3960w of lights. plants were 4 foot tall when harvested. Grower yeilded 6 pound of dried bud. And this guy knows his shit.

Ok well there you go. Those are case studies that are facts!! not opinions!! from a grow bible.

NORML Report on U.S. Domestic Marijuana Production
1998 Marijuana Crop Report
An Evaluation of Marijuana Production, Value, and Eradication Efforts in the United
States
Prepared by:
Jon Gettman
Paul Armentano

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
officials have long argued that a typical marijuana plant grown to harvest yields one
pound (454 grams) of marijuana. However, most experts argue that this estimate is
highly unrealistic. For example, data gathered by the United States Sentencing
Commission supported the conclusion that the actual average yield of marijuana
plants is 100 grams. Government-sponsored studies conducted at the University
of Mississippi calculated the amount of dry, smokable material at a maximum of 177
grams for an indoor marijuana plant and 412 grams for an outdoor plant. The
ten ounce estimate used by The NORML Foundation in this report reflects this data as
well as the premise that most U.S. marijuana is densely grown in gardens of nine
square feet or less. Under such conditions, DEA publications admit that one
marijuana plant will likely yield approximately 224 grams of marijuana.

Now that's an estimate 100-224 gs....If you are a very good farmer you can expect 224gs if you are a begginer with rudemintary skills then 100gs per plant.
