They look like they will be on a street corner with a cardboard sign that says, "Rough spot, money or weed appreciated."

None of the people in my local grow stores look anything like that. Go into a Lowes, Home Depot, look at their customers, that's what they look like.

Pro-tip: The majority of pot smokers aren’t Rastafarian wannabes or lazy looking “pot heads”. You’d be better off with a weed themed “Herbie the Love Bug” type of character if you could make one that doesn’t violate trademarks.
