PIC #1 the two sanding side by side. notice how the plant on the right seems weak, and thin. while the one on the left looks healthy, and filled in.
PIC #2 the two on the right are the indica pheno,. notice the difference in thickness.
PIC #3 are the two dried. same difference, one is thicker and pronounced, while the other in pretty skinny.

Blue Venom
PIC #1 These two were the best from each bunch. the longer sticks in each group is the main cola. need
i say more.
PIC #2 just the two colas side by side to give a better visual of how much smaller the other cola is.
PIC #3 this side by side shows how much longer and fuller one is than the other.
PIC #4-#5 are a side by side of the colas freshly cut, and dried. look at the difference in the side buds
in the larger of the two. and also out of the two the one with bewtter light held on to it's size for
the most part.

as you can see there are very noticable differences in the pics between the plants in good, and the ones in bad light. hopefully this will give you all a little insight on the importance of spending a little money on your bulbs. now i say this all the time, but i know my colas don't look like they are hanging from a donkey, but they sure don't look like they are hanging from a poodle.LOL.

P.S. monday i will have my report on the different strains up, so please stay tuned.

PEACE!!!

I'll second those thoughts on lights. Also brings up the debate whether to change your light every grow, two grows, cost vs results? you know I am staying tuned Zen.

Brother Zen, I will be watching your journal very carefully!
I TOO have a Blue Venom baby girl. I'm quite curious how this smokes. Also wanted to let you know the the "Coir" thing is the "Green" way to go. As a "dirt" farmer, I use the little pots to start my girls. In the past, I have always used the Jiffy peat pots. Now it's the Planters Pride coir pots for me. It takes 200 to 500 years for peatbogs to replenish, whereas coconut is an annual resource, & not so "acidic".
Your grow is most impressive, maybe some day I might take a run at something like that indoors, but for now, Sunshine, fresh air, white flys, spider mites, wind storms, & God knows what else, will be my lot, lol.

BB, Zen hasn't been around in like 6 months so I think this thread is dead. Shame really, Zen was a cool cat.

Peace, DST

Yeah, sadly I think Zen has left us...or is at least just taking a vacation.

I was growing the BV at the same time as him as well. The smoke was actually very good. Heady and great for sleep. I did notice a bit of a plateau with the high but that was literally the ONLY complaint I had on the strain. It was a great yielding strain too. I pulled 7oz off just one BV plant with only a single 400wHPS and very little skill. Good stuff. Especially since it was a freebie from Attitude that I got. Wish I had more.

Best of luck with your grow.

If you're out there Zen buddy, we miss ya.
