check the report, desert rat. he had two tiny scratches on his scalp.

and nodrama, my house was built in the 50s.
Can you here the grass rustling from inside the home, and does it keep you awake at night?

I think it would have been more honest to say those people heard a scuffle.

A tiny 1/16" nic in your carotid aorta will have you unconscious from blood loss in under 30 seconds. Dead within 2 minutes. But hey, small cuts cannot be dangerous no matter where they occur, right?

with the door open and the tv muted, I can easily hear if someone is walking in the grass 20 feet away.

do tell me about these carotid arteries on the top of the scalp.

With the door open and the TV muted, is that what the witnesses did?

one half of one centimeter? ZOMG SHOOT HIM!

injuries were sustained after aggressing an innocent kid. he aggressed him in "self defense" though, right?

LOL!
2cm... nearly an inch long laceration sustained during an assault. Skull against concrete.

How do you "aggress" somebody? Is that like "othering", or "the male gaze"? Dude looked at me wrong, so I beat like rented mule...

The near inch long cut becomes non important when there is a much smaller one to focus upon. We all know its the smallest of the wounds that is the overall indicator of whether or not you are being attacked hard enough to warrant self defense. Gaping neck wound? Sure, but the hang nail on the left pinky finger says your gonna be fine.

absolutely zero evidence of skull on concrete and my cat has given me worse scratches.

the kid ran away and zimm said he was in fear, so what does he do? gets out and goes after him. in fear. oh, and self defense.

ya suppose he can sell me a bridge too?

we all know people whose homes have recently been victim of numerous break-ins leave their doors wide open so any tom dick or harry can venture forth. At night, just common sense.
what percentage of home break ins occur in the 7 pm hour?

I leave my door unlocked when I go to sleep, not everywhere is a ghetto.

where this occurred was in Florida in a community that had recently been plagued by break-ins. One of the reasons the community had a crime watch was because of the crime. I am not saying it was a high crime area like Chicago or anything, but the news has been rather clear on the history of the crime in the area.

Yep, the chances of someone breaking into your home are not all that high, but about 100 times greater than your chances of ever being in the middle of a terrorist attack or 1000 times greater than being struck by lightning.

I lock my doors at night, have security cameras, an alarm system, a dog and am well armed. I live way out in the country though and have thankfully only had to deal with 2 thieves and a drunk who insisted my place was his grandmothers house.

Ever had anything stolen from you?

Well if someone has their door open and break ins usually mean when people aren't home, I'm sure a burglar would most likely ignore that than risk being caught or attacked.
