My point is successful US fiscal policy can no longer be made in a vacuum. 30 sec sound byte stuff is nothing but show. More of the same is to ignore lack luster economic growth. The truth is, the global economy is fragile. US economic growth is dependent on global performance. We can't put this turd back in the can.

maybe the pay of all of Congress should be based on having a budget surplus and then everybody gets the same share of that surplus? that would light a fire under their overpaid, underworked asses.

Carly claims she will get the tax code down to 3 pages. I like that line of thinking. Like Ryan, let's shrink the government down to nothing.

Word is Sanders want's to add 3 more levels of government tape and a few 1,000 pages. He's an idiot.

Now, which one would you choose?

Yes, many who know me personally consider me the gold standard when it comes to the finer things in life, and, I respect, understand and really like cops! How about that! ;)

i can get the tax code down to one phrase:

national sales tax

if you are a 1%'er and buy a boat, you pay.
if you're an illegal immigrant and buy a beer, you pay.

the wealthy consume just as much. they buy a 5 million dollar house, they pay. i buy a 200k house, i pay. they eat caviar, they pay. i eat cheerios, i pay.

the wealthy pay less income taxes than the middle and lower class anyway.

a flat tax hurts the lower class. it's a tax cut for the rich.
