He railed against the government's lack of forethought to deal with the national debt. "We're not planning for the future," Carson said. "If we continue to spend ourselves into oblivion, we are going to destroy this nation." He also said the government is treating corporations "as enemies" and that corporate taxes should be lowered to encourage growth. "Corporations are not in business to be social-welfare organizations; they are there to make money," Carson said.
Charities, he added, are better at providing for the needy than the government. "Nobody is starving on the streets. We've always taken care of them," Carson said. "We take care of our own; we always have. It is not the government's responsibility."
-Ben Carson

you are a retarded person.

when a democrat signs off on the budget that the underlings work on, the deficit goes down. a lot. over a trillion dollars.

when a republican signs off on the budget, the deficit goes up. a lot. from a huge surplus to the biggest deficit ever. several trillion dollars.

the president has the bully pulpit and veto power. that's 67 votes. which party has ever had 67 votes?

none.

once again, you are a retarded person.
How many silos do we need to maintain?

Seems to me, one would do just fine.

Come on Pie. You have been here long enough to know that EVERY thread in the politic section can go anywhere in conversation. This thread actually is staying pretty close to topic with a discussion of why Carson is not a good vote if you are on medicaid or receive food stamps or any form of government assistants. For that matter any Republican is a bad vote if you receive government assistants. I'm a registered Republican, but I would never vote for any of these clowns in the general election because I care about people less fortunate than myself
A belated but well deserved +rep:clap:

i'm curious who you think will get the nomination? it can't be carson or trump. no experience and way too unelectable. i'm guessing Rubio?
Rubio is too young and a personal mess the epitome of politition in the making but came late to the came..from the right? 'old familiar'..can you guess?

Folks always go for nostalgia when they can..JEB!
