after trying dyna gro im switching back to advanced nutrients 2 part

Bigger isn't always better. Stem structure and many other variables come into play. And every plants ideal ratio is going to be a little different. Read the plants, experiment, record results. It's the only way to know for sure. There are some tricks in hydro using EC/pH meters to determine what your plants want, but I'm no expert on them.

I can imagine if your plants are sucking in the PPM's while your pH drifts up or down, the direction of the pH change should tell you quite a bit (as well as the general look of the plants).

I haven't run any hydro setups where it would be easy to collect accurate information about what the plant is eating, but eventually I'll give DWC a shot.
i totally agree bigger isnt always better but you gotta agree that if your plants are too short then theres gonna be a max on the yield you can get. when using sensi 2 part i had plants that were nearly twice as tall than with dyna gro. no way in hell a 1' plant is gonna yield as much as a 2' plant get what im sayin?

I do beg to differ about the heights thing. check these pics out nothing is over 36' tall.

this is a DYNA-GRO + BLOOM 50/50 mix floralicious+, awesome blossoms (only in peak flower), magical and sugar daddy (wk 2-8bloom), also Dark energy all the time

recently replaced awesome blossom for kool bloom, magical for calmag+ and sugar daddy for sweet for price and practicality. Also I like the fact calmag+ has more micros than magical. I like to use the additives that are derived from most diverse sources.

I remember reading in a max yield mag if you do this the plant can pick and choose what sources it gets what it wants. I.E magnesium nitrate and magnesium sulfate (I dont understand why A.N cant combine these two products) but they separate them into bud factor x and bud candy

1 plant Power Kush 9wks in with dyna gro custom nute soup. MONSTERS. This is a NORML PARTY CUP :-)

1 plant BC Purps 7wks in with dyna gro. ran to much dyna (bloom) with these. Had a lil to high of (p). Still monsters

Due to A.N
The progressing stages of my what I think to be CA def. and maybe Mag but pretty sure just Ca from the solid chunks of what appears to be Ca in my conni (B) Starts up near the lights (where humidity is at lowest) on Large fan leafs progresses down.

Healthy dyna gro leafs and some dyna grown SLH to prove I am compident lol also my dyna and A.N leaf pics are same time in flower.

how do those pictures contradict what i said about the height im not understanding?

green thumb are you doing hydro? if so what ec are you running the connoisseur at? 3/4 strength for conni might be alot you could be burning the plants. i havent used it but people say its strong stuff

How have you been liking that H&G?
Aqua Flakes turned out to be a high quality, clean, consistent plant food with no surprises or issues. I liked how they have only two parts which are to be used from veg to harvest unlike AN who wants to sell you as many base nutrients parts and additives as humanly possible. High quality plant foods don't split up necessities or bend you over at the checkout counter. H&G was actually as cheap to run as DG and it's nice that the base supplies enough of everything for a trouble free grow. Aqua Flakes would be a great plant food for any novice hydro grower and believe it or not, I bet even Tree could get good results with Aqua Flakes ;). OK, well maybe that's pushing it because you still need half a brain and a consistent environment. But for a number of 'ease of use' reasons, I'm still a DG guy but highly recommend Aqua Flakes as it's an excellent stand alone plant food just like the GH 3-part.

If you think I burned my plants you still need to do some plant problem reading because burning does not start at the top of the plant and does not start in between the leaf margins nor cause leaf upward curl. I use R/O water and the a.n techs said I wouldnt need a cal mag supplement which may have been true if their products ca stayed in a liquid form. But w/ r/o water and no liquid ca in my part B I have a suffered ca def.

My problem was cause im sure due to the fact the calcium went solid in the part b not because of high ppm or ec, or a bad nute company or not knowing what I am doing. Only from no ca. All im saying is if you spend $70 for a liter a+b it should be a little more stable. I didnt do anything unusual with the product.

My ppm was 1100 w/ the conni everything was fine until they hit peak bloom and once they asked for the ca it wasnt there.

let's sum this up people and move on...dyna is great for new growers wanting basic results and for salesmen like HB who wouldn't know an airy bud from his ass crack. :-P
So my flowers are airy? lol

I was trying to prove by putting my pic up that my Dyna short plants have flowers twice the size as your A.N "tall plants"
put a party cup next to your flowers and take some pics they may be dense but look little :-) 2 weeks of flowering left for me still these things are going to be hogs legs.

If a.n sends my a free bottle of part B I will try to run them one more time but other than that im going to try aqua flakes next

Also I guarantee Homebrewer is not a nute company rep of any sort just someone like myself trying to help the world grow great cannabis. I have heard him talk good about other companys besides dyna or g.h. No offense to certain people but they just gloat about how good a.n is and nothing else that to me shouts A.N rep. lol

I think if you can only get stellar results with one company you need practice reading plants. Again, im really not trying to offend anyone here but honestly nute company, brand, or formula, has little effect on plants yield. Its all about environment.

Also if your plants are use to a.n and you switched to dyna or something else it is a possibility that switching companys mid way through your plants just did not agree.

I dislike you too piss ant. Go fuck off with your anti-AN bullshit. Many grow fine weed with it. If you knew there were precipitants in your B, why didn't you get another bottle? There is a guarantee you know. Noooooo you had to continue the grow like a retard then slam AN for it not working properly. What the hell do you people want anyways?

Nutes are nutes. You can have exceptional results with any of them. For me it's always just a matter of 'what do i get for my money?'.

wow looks like this is another example of how someone fucks up there plants and blames AN for it. scooby and alot of other people grow healthy plants with conni. mr green thumb were you that person that was asking me what AN nute you should start out with and i told you the sensi because conni was powerful stuff? not sure if that was you or not. i got some news for you your best friend homebrewer fried his whole crop at 700ppm using conni and you think you didnt fry your shit at 1100 ppm lol? if you dont believe me go read his comparison grow. some plants might be able to handle that but i would never start my ppm anywhere near that with conni. you cant give your plants the same ppm as dyna when using it. i just burned a crop of 3-4' plants with sensi at 1000 ppm alone never mind conni which people say you should use it at 50-75% strength compared to other nutes. people never learn. and yes if your shit crystalized you should of got another bottle and not started a grow that wasnt too smart. just to add dyna bottles crystalize all the time and people never show deficiencies when still using it

Beyond Organic.. lol you know they were told they can't say that anymore? People complained that they thought it was organic..

It's apples and oranges. You can't really compare two grows of different plants and and expect to be able to judge the nutrients. That's like racing a Corvette and Pinto to decide what's the better spark plug.

homebrewer im not gonna lie i like how your plants look using that h&g. it doesnt look airy like with dyna if i were you i would switch to it permanently and stop recommending dyna to people. did your yield increase? if so by how much?

He's just pissy because you caught him with his pants around his ankles reaching for the ruler.

Plus it's no fun to complain about the broken thing you got being broken (which you bought, clearly broken) when someone comes along and points out how stupid it was in the first place.

Of course he's going to dislike that.

Aqua Flakes yielded on the upper end of 'average' for me and it took a little more work to do so. I was happy with it's performance and there really isn't much to complain about. It's a good option for those not looking to get too scientific about this hobby.

I find your 'airy' comments humorous. Have you still not researched indica vs sativa and how they differ in growth rates, yields, bud structure, potency and flowering times?

An indica-dominant plant below grown with DG:

A sativa-dominant plant grown with DG:

It's not the minerals, it's the genetics.

excuse me, but do you see your name anywhere in my post? did i ever refer to you. i was talking to someone else. i never even looked at your buds. quit being so defensive.

Very mature and thank you for proving your size to us all.

you speak with ignorance daniel son. I get my supplies online and dont bother to examine the bottom of a new unopened bottle. I guess with a.n we need to inspect the bottles to be what they should be? no thank you! Id rather know I am getting what I paid for. and I did contact those POS a.n reps for a new bottle but their costumer service is so bad that 3 days and no reply yet. What I want is to know I am getting what I paid for and dont have to scientifically analyze every bottle

it seems like your not understanding, thats not common for AN but it is common for dyna gro. do a google search and research this for dyna and you will find hundreds of people this happened to. it happened with one of my dg bottles years ago so dont single out AN just cause you had some bad luck, sometimes shit happens and its just bad luck and not a common thing. i dont even think that was your problem anyway i think you just fried your plants cause when this happens with dyna bottles people still use them with no problem.
