I see this thread soon being followed by the 1st annual Weed4cash MONEY for bail thread. :o I suspect that this would be one of those things that shouldnt be bragged about on an open message board. :-P

    Nutrients & Additives

Ive been using the Technoflora recipe for success formula. Plants always do great in veg but start to suffer in bloom. This likely has more to do with a fungus gnat problem I am now getting a handle on. I have started an experiment using a variation of the Lucas formula using just GH...

    Hydro Help

Not enough info to give you any help. You need to provide details. If your light was within 10 inches then that is a safe bet for what is wrong but it could also be your nutes, your water, your PH, your EC, your temps, your humidity..... etc Also, those plants may be a little young to be under...

PH Problems Can't Keep Levels Low

How often do you check your Ph? Nutes are acidic and as you plants feed they take up nutes your Ph should rise. You should be checking Ph at least once a day.

    need opinions/advice concerning hydro nutrients

I started out with the GH 3 part but have since moved to the Technoflora BC line using thier recipe for success blend. I also add a little H2O2 and Hygrozyme to my mix and have been having very good results so far. You can buy a sample kit for the TF nutes for about 35 USD which comes with...

When and how do plants flower?

MJ is keyed to flower based on the day/night cyle. When the autumn days begin to get shorter your ladies will begin to bloom. Indoor growers can force this and control it by changing the light cycles to 12 on 12 off but this mearly mimics what happens in nature when the seasons change. If they...

Lemon skunk, white widow, aurora indica, LA woman

I am using the technoflora BC nutes but I had the same PH drop with the GH 3 part. I change the res and for the first 3-4 days the PH will drop as much as one point in a day. After the first few days it stabilizes. Due to work there are times when I cant check the rez as often as I like and it...

Lemon skunk, white widow, aurora indica, LA woman

Hmmm, Im thinking I may have a PH problem instead of nute loads. Ive had the PH drop under 5.0 a couple times. It may be that Im getting nute lock out and precipitation. The signs I am seeing looked like deficiency but at the loads I was running that just isnt possible which led me to think it...

what ppm's should i be feeding my plants???

For all you guys talking PPM, what scale are you using? If you dont know then you might as well be telling the guy to just throw some nutes in until it looks right. I dont mean to sound harsh but the scale used to take EC to PPM can vary wildly.

Lemon skunk, white widow, aurora indica, LA woman

Anyone have experience with these strains? Specifically Im wondering what nute loads these ladies prefer in EC. Lemon skunk White Widow Aurora Indica LA woman So far the Lemon Skunk and LA Woman like a veg mix of around EC 2.0. But for whatever reason once of move the skunk over to bloom...

help newbie needs advice - nutrients

What is your nute mix? Are you mixing to the full dose reccomended by the manufacturer? I dont use those nutes but in general its always a good idea to start at 50% mix or less and build up the concentration until the plants are happy. Also, are you using RO or plain tap water? Tip yellow can be...

    Roots Reaching Reservoir Water

Actually that is great. This is what you want to happen. If you are using a drip system the the solution will get some aerration as it burbles through your grow medium but an airstone in the rez certainly wont hurt. One side benefit of the roots dangling in the rez is if your pump ever fails...

    hermophradites

Pull em. They'll screw up the rest of your crop. I had a plant hermie about 2 weeks out from harvest. It had some buds on it too but I couldnt take the chance of it pollinating my younger plants so it had to go.

    humidity problems!

During flower it has been suggested to keep humidity around 50-60%. More than that and you increase the risk of molds and fungus, lower and you cause the plants to transpire too much which causes other problems. A cheap way is to stick a wet towel or bowl of water in the space when you need to...

    Are these male?

Cant tell from the pics. If there are little balls or clusters of balls without the telltale hairs then you have yourself a male. If you see banannas then get them suckers out of there ASAP. If you arent sure give it a little time. You should be able to tell in plenty of time to keep them from...

    Should I try Hydro?

Well, hydro is certainly going to require more from you in the form of care and maint. Also, rez temps are usually an issue in most grows. You can go the expensive route with a rez chiller which will acurately maintain temps or go the cheap way and thow a frozen jug of water in the rez. Im am...

Post the dumbest advice you have ever heard here!

Good thread. Lots of people like to talk just to feel important, whether they know what they are talking about or not. The dumbest advice I hear on a regular basis is when someone says to use a certain PPM without giving the conversion scale they are using. It just shows that they dont have an...
