    Vortex aeration

Just thought i would leave this here and hopefully some of you guys can make use of it. With living somewhere with thin walls i needed an alternative to an air pump and never found one that was powerful and quiet so found an alternative that works better. A water trickle and the small hum...

    Silica and calmag

I would personally add silica first. It Does not like staying in solution so adding it to your water first means less chance of precipitation. So silica, main nutes, cal mag. Then of course whatever your using to ph.

    Thinking about "Mainlining"

Hi, When i used mainlining it took about 4 weeks to get 8 colas to about 2 ft in Coco before i flipped to flower. Although in my experience it isn't as effective as a scrog it gets a much better yield than just having a tree and doesn't require as much effort as a scrog so it certainly has its...

Dropping temps to increase trichome production

By decreasing the temps what kind of temps do you currently have? I know Anything consistently above 28 degrees c can decrease the overall amount of thc your getting at harvest so I keep my temps between 20-27 degrees day and night. No need to go out of that range.

    Reduced hour light cycles

Using a one of the sonoff wifi timers make all these custom light schedules super easy to set up. I do however have a question about this glt schedule. Ive got 730nm leds in a tent with 3500k 90cri citizen cobs that i would generally run for 10 mins on lights out on a 12-12. Any suggestions...

    uk builders??

The quantum boards are superior to hps in every possible way apart from the initial cost being higher. The individual diodes making up the 150w panels means a better spread of the light so therefore better penetration of the canopy. The idea that led doesn't penetrate the canopy as much as hps...

    uk builders??

I'm in the uk and just built myself a 300w panel using clu48-1216 3500k 90 cri leds at around a tenner each bought from Kingbright on alibaba. These are being run at 50w each and are far better than the 3w epistar leds and would not recommend the 3w diodes as they are pretty inefficient. I...

    Qb288 or clu48-1216

Currently using cxa3070 leds I've had for a couple of years Looking for an upgrade at roughly 300w. for 6x clu48-1216 3500k 90 cri leds, Heatsinks, drivers & shipping looking at $280. For 2x qb288 boards a HLG-320-54 and shipping about $320. From peoples experience would this be worth...

    Is 1700k to 730nm

Currently running 3500k 80 cri cxb3070s with 10 mins of 730nm at lights out for the 'flower initiator' to which i have noticed strains finishing maybe a week earlier. Next step is a bigger setup using clu48-1216 3500k 90 cri leds as I have seen good results using the 90 cris which on its own...

    Ozone and plants a Theory

I can personally confirm Too much ozone will damage your plants, I have experienced this from leaving one on for too long. I would suspect with high doses of ozone damaging the leaves this would reduce photosynthesis so i don't think that type of stress would be good. Ozone is best used in...

To cut or not to cut out Cal/Mag??

Calcium is an immobile nutrient so lots is needed during the stretch and bud formation but tapers of after the bud has filled out so if your Base nutes have enough in then your probably dont need it after week 6-7. Calcium also isn't likely to be the cause of a harsh smoke with it being an...

Hi there I have found growing with both the cxb3070s and the full spectrum leds the cxb3070s are far better, they look much brighter to my eyes and I would say these are definitely more efficient than the full spectrum leds. There's also the color of the light it's self from the 3500k cxb3070s...

    450nm - 660nm

The conclusion that just 660nm and 450nm leds is needed is very outdated check out pretty much any thread In the led section and you'll see that You need full spectrum leds generally people stick to around 3500k to get the plants to there full potential it's not just the chlorophyll a and b...

    Going commercial

For your photos I would try a white sheet in the background and have lighting behind the sheet, this way you shouldn't need to edit the background just color correct. You want to defuse the lighting your using to take the photos so there are no hot spots and have your camera flash turned of...

    Purchasing COBS in the UK?

I'm in the UK and found they had higher bins and cheaper leds buying from Jerry at Kingbright. I recieved the order in under a week and have never had the problem of import tax from china/Hong Kong. I imagine if your buying 30 Cobs and drivers to go with them he would be able to sort you out...

Philips cdm-t evolution DIY. Help needed!

the 3500k cxb3590's will be best for veg and flowering. a couple of the 36v cxb3590's running at 700ma which is 23w each is 64% efficiency which would be very hard to beat. Best place to buy these leds would be from kingbrite over at alibaba.

Square Aluminum water cooled heat sink?

I considered this briefly but then thought that it would be more hassle than its worth as if say you had either a leak or the water pump stopped working that could potentially burn out all the leds as I would assume the metal pipe it's self would not have enough surface area to dissipate enough...

A little help with breeding duckfoot.

I would take a look at frisian duck from Dutch passion. It's only been around for about a year as I remember it not being available for the outdoor season last year. Its frisian dew crossed with ducks foot which supposedly increases the quality while keeping the webbed leaves so might be worth...
