another cfl grow

i know what your saying, what you have today i have two to three days later weather wise. atleast the worst of the snow and ice was south of me.

i noticed i had some rusty looking spots on two different plants. gave them a small dose of epson salt yesterday. i'm going to grind up some egg shells today to give them. thought about grinding up a tums but they are flavored. pics later today, and the baby diesels too.

Rinse them real good first.
After you grind them up, boil them for about 5 minutes, then use that to water with.
It will act faster than waiting for the shells to break down.
If you have a Pike's Nursery nearby, that's where I get my Maxi Cal,

here's the baby sour diesels. all 4 broke ground on 1/24, that makes them 9 days old. they are under 18/6 light cycle with one 23 watt 2700k par38 cfl flood, it doesn't do much. the two main lights are the two par38 led floods. one is a 20.3 watt 2700k the other is a 19 watt 2700k. i know it's the wrong color but they seem to like it.

had to cut two big pretty fan leaves off of special, it has two branches that have a flower on them that was covered up, they had to see the light. boiled down 4 crushed egg shells, i hope they like it.

yeah i'm looking forward to them, i believe they need to veg for a month atleast. played with a small dwc yesterday. had some coffee buckets setting around. i got out the pump and lines, poked a hole in the top edge of them for the air line. bubbled better then i thought it would. i'm gonna try to get some general hydroponics plant food, and some expanded clay. gonna give some bag seed a try, that way when i kill them i wont be out no good beans. i still gotta grab some 5 gal buckets, but i find them all the time. once i start doing ok in hydro i want to try to mainline.

i guess the cold snaps that we have had kept the girls on the smaller side. i really figured they would stretch. i'll just have to see how thick i can get them.

Lookin good bro, but the buds don't need the light, the leafs do.
Leave 'em on next time.
I start moving leafs around on the Diesel, and find all kindsa buds down there that I didn't know I had.

these two had the buds completely covered, and was laying on top of them. i guess they would have grown around them. i tried to pull them out of the way and broke one of them, that's when i said the hell with it. i just did something i haven't done in years, i had a jim beam and coke. that is the first brown whiskey in 30 years. i like the clear stuff.

LOL, sounds about right.
I just put up a couple pics in Dank's thread.

Giggy i hate to say it but i think your pots arent giving them enough root room. When their small like that when you flip them the roots dont grow much until mid flower and then they explode to like three times the size. Youll be watering like every day and that sucks.

you know deep in the back of my mind, i have been thinking the same thing. over the summer i had plants ranging from 20" to almost 40" in these pots, and yes they stayed thirsty. i got some 3 1/2 gallon pots, used 4 my last indoor grow and they took the whole box. i may do a transplant this evening. i also got my pollen from the two pink males now. i looked in the freezer and i still got pollen from last summer, one of which is the one i used on my pink female. i still have the special male taking it's time.

Ya know, when I use my 5 gal, I end up with roots going all the way to the outside, but never to the bottom, even the one with 60 days veg.
That's another reason I am trying the 2 gal (AND I didn't veg most, and the one that did get vegged was only 14 days).

Im still tryin to convince someone to by a 20 dollar 100 gallon grow bag and throw a little greenhouse over it. That would be fun

sorry bro, no can do on a green house. my father inlaw walks all over this place, at one time he was a state trooper. as late in game as i am, i'm gonna run with what i got for now. i would have to change everything in the box to suite the bigger buckets. i'm not even gonna breed this bunch. special i have a bunch of beans of, only had one bud with lots of beans. the pink is not the preno that i'm looking for, and have more beans from the breed last summer. i still got beans that the pink came from, i just don't know which one they are. the kush is a bitch, she can't be kept happy. i got my 4 sour diesels, and 8 more beans of it. i still have bottles and bags of beans. i got to get a break in the weather so i can build the shop, with the secret grow room.

well not like that, but yes like that. i figure i will build a room on the back where no one can see it. i plan on 10' to 12' walls on the shop so i should have lots of room. i don't know what size the room will be yet, i just need to get started on the shop. we should be hitting a dryer part of the season, well i hope, we didn't last year.
