Here's the new (temporary for the upcoming grow at least) literally a peice that you put under a water heater, (got it for cheap) it says a bit but it has a almost perfect 12" from each cob.

Adds shelving space too!

I'll be doing the next test some time this week. So look out for that I guess.

Here are the latest Results,

1FT for all in 4x4s and the DE HPS at 3FT just to make me smile.

Im sure this is no surprise to anyone here in the LED area.

The grow that I will be running has a bit more timber added to the fire.

Also I will have everything tested at the end to see if there is a quality difference.

Stay tuned here or over at YouTube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_5HtIr1Uct8Y7b5LHBc3HA

Or at the perpetual and side by side thread: https://www.rollitup.org/t/15x10-killer-grow-adventures.915255/

Peace till the next update.. Which I hope to be clones getting staged.

Those giant cake pans (don't know what else to call them) are perfect for reflecting! Consider polishing up the surface facing the plants and ditch the reflectors and lenses.

Also, if they are metal, you can mount the cobs directly to it and the heat sinks on the other side when passively cooling. The whole unit will eventually hit an equilibrium and isn't as impacted by differences between the materials.

What is your photo based on? As in your DP?

what`s the 1000w de hps pull at the plug after its been running for 8/10 hours ?

I`d be tempted to up my cobs from 800w to 1200w if you can get them 1ft away from the plants currently sounds like a great excuse to use more power :fire:
I am getting good PPFD so check my signature before you throw down that much light. Im not sure on actual power draw since my Watt meter is for 110/120 not 240v so it would blow up if I tried to test it... Might use the 120 to get the actual draw.

It's been almost a month and I have the space together.. I hope to see roots very soon. I have the seeds popped for the OG Kush and hey are getting to be a good size... I planned on keeping a mother plant but might keep two... In the last month

(after a long period of nute lockout which took me forever to diagnose... Maybe like 3 weeks thinking it was over watering/under. But it's DWC soooo anywaysss)

The plants have became massive. The stalk looks like a small tree or about the size of a baseball bat. The test will start once the roots come out but I don't know when that will be, I I'll then have a look at these possible frosty mothers or possible.

I may trim the girls back and keep them to flower as well... But idk Michigan laws are dumb you can only have 12 plants seems like I'll just get a bunch of clones and give them away.

The two plants are GG#4 and Pineapple Express
Pardon the rawness of them I'm not huge on defoliating the lights themselves are an exact 4x4 for size reference.

Dem cobs be doing some work. Just put the OG kush in some new buckets and added the water.. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the big girls under the cobs still. That's 2 plants, good news the tomato clones have roots so I should see some out of the plays soon, if not I started another batch just in case those ones flop. The middle section will be for the HPS. I'll be adding panda filme walls between the sections to keep the results fair, even though I'll probably loose out on an ounce or two.

That's all I got but I'll keep you posted. I also added ladybugs as they were on sale...

The tomato plants I brought in were apparently covered in mites... So that should solve that. Fun stuff gardening.

Hi Mega, do you (or any de guru) know if it is important for the de ballast to use hi frequency or is the lower frequency just as good?
