Attitude order confiscated in Chicago, but did not include a letter, only a note

I agree with Racer. If Attitude has any business savvy at all, they have factored in seizures into the seed and stealth shipping costs. If more than usual are being seized, there could be a cost adjustment, otherwise business as usual.

I have enough seeds to get through 2014, but I can see cloning and producing my own seeds as options.

The assholes put smiley faces on it poking fun because I didn't get my order. So are they reporting it to their boss, or just snagging my seeds and packaging the stuff back up?
I think those of us who live in cities or the city where this is happening, should start checking craigs list for people selling ceeds. I wouldn't be surprised if they are doing something unofficial with them.
Here in Co. there are people selling clones on Craig's List.
I bet that person is selling them or something. Or you would have got a siezed property letter with your green tape. That means they aren't logging and keeping track of the confiscated material.
Mine sat at LA ISC for 4 days and now all the sudden, it should be here today.

We shall see in an hour or so. (where is that postman.....)

cali connection are now based in europe colonuggs.. and the thing is, not everyone lives in a state where they can simply walk down to the corner store and pick out x y and z clones, so a lot of people are dependent on seed's and seed banks..
well that's nice to know... :) But I bet some of the breeders still doin their thing in Cali

Ya I agree... the real deal clones are hard to get unless you know people

I just checked my tracking and it finally updated. It sat in LA ISC from 06/14 - 06/19. It arrived in Denver today, I should see it tomorrow.
Now I'm paranoid and will be looking for green tape everywhere (oh yeh... and fungus gnats. I swear I see them out of the corner of my eye..)

All this drama makes me want to stop ordering for awhile and sit on a couple five packs.
Mine sat in La over the same time and arrived with green tape and letter. Got it today, took pictures, opened it, took picture of letter and they didn't leave any souviener's. Sent info to souviener shop to let them know. Hope to hear back but I have a question. If sent no guarantee or stealth will they still resend new souvieners?

I knew there was a problem when they didn't show after 10 days.

nope, no guarantee, no stealth, no reship, which is why i always recommend the stealth as it's pretty cheap insurance that you may still get your gear..
this shit is getting out of hand.. i can see the tude eventually (soon even) saying no more sales to customers in the us if things continue on this road as they're going to be losing too much money shortly.. :(

i think you're under estimating how much money they make...cost of production for a oz of indoor...about +- 30 bucks...cost of production for seeds? shieeeeeeeeeet. and they are selling them for how much? i think they can afford to keep resending especially when insurance is involved.

idk, sannies was about this ... close to shutting down us sales bcuz orders were going missing.. decided against it, but it did almost get to that point not too long ago..

and yes, even though seeds are cheap, how long can a co. continue to resend $100's of $$s of free seeds because someone paid an additional $15 for guaranteed delievery?? the math simply doesn't support this happening for very long before they either simply stop selling to u.s. customers, or drastically change how they are doing things..

Sucks if no resend. They must have sent out a notice for so many to be found. Also the promo time they probably know when to start looking with so many packages being sent. Anyone elses leter say what was in package? just wondering.

If anybody is closing down its because they are smart to not keep poking the bear. Its only a matter of time till you're sitting next to emery. These dudes probably pay breeders 30-40% of retail on these seeds and there is not much overhead. the insurance is half of their cost if not most of it. Do the math

Just got mine! It had the green tape that read US Customs and Border Protection Examined, it ahd been opened and arrived as it always has! Way to go SOS! Stealthy packaging as always.

This is obviously an Attitude thing, since their stealth is not very good. I used them last year for the Christmas bash and I was wondering how that swolen envelope ever got to me. I think their guarantee is more of an insurance policy and not really an attempt to conceal or be stealthy

I am done for now. I am going to sit on these last 4 packs and run cuttings for a while.

most banks, breeders get 50% of the price per pack of beans.. still, how many people order a single pack of beans vs, multi hundred $$ orders.. my bet is most people order at least $100 and up orders.. so you paid $15 extra to get your beans guaranteed, they'd still be losing a large percent of their profits by simply resending muliple packages that get snagged at customs to us customers..
and no one said they're going to close up shop, i simply said they will simply stop selling to customers in the u.s. if things continue as is imvho..

I always order $100-$200 at a time. Usually 4 or 5 packs. That is usually around that much depending on breeder. I did more $ with the Tude because their incentives are set up that way. Sometimes throw in another pack to get the next set of freebies.

This was my third order through attitude and it got checked in Chicago and my seeds taken, but no official letter. There was a green tape on the main envelope saying it had been inspected and I knew something was wrong. Opened the envelope, shirt was neatly folded up like my past orders. The inside envelope was in the correct place but on the from it said, " it's here it made it" with a smiley face. On the back it says " it's here jim" with another s iley. Open that envelope and inside wrapped in bubble wrap was a UFO card with an upside down smiley saying "SHIT". I just contacted attitude, and waiting response, but has anyone else had this happen???
Wow, not only did they confiscate your stuff, but they played a mean joke too, lol .. wow

Sucks that this is happening and the arrogance of the customs workers and their little notes doesn't help. It's not professional and I just can't see the government employees getting away with the notes for very much longer.

That's like an IRS agent sending you a letter that your getting audited and he includes a personal notes saying, "Oh, you tried to cheat us, now you're going to pay".

I'm sure once a supervisor gets a whiff of this behavior, it will be stopped immediately. Confiscation, unfortunately, will be here to stay.

Does anyone know an up to date promo code for Herbies Seeds? I need to make an order before things get worse. Peace out R.I.U.

Chicago stole my shit stagecoach robbery as well. Fucking prick left me a note too.
Said my name, then said you sly little devil. We found em!
Most assholes aren't this good at their job. I didn't get a seizure letter, like standard practice.
This may very well be a grower that has a much larger seed collection than my own.
The packages don't switch up, they are pretty easy to spot.

^^^I need to send mug spot a picture of taped up package also. It sounds like Chicago is really starting to cost them some big money. Very shitty.
