Yeah I saw that, I guess you got your own place? Pretty open set up lol but looks under control. Man only a couple weeks and that MD is looking nice. I guess that is also part of my problem. I'm not patient. If the plants are good to me I'll continue growing. But if temps remain around 87 degrees. would that be adequate to produce good buds? Maybe not the greatest but I mean when people say that it won't be as potent, I imagine myself needing to smoking bowls of it but I really don't know if I've smoked that kind of bud myself either.

haha yeah my first grow was in the stealth section cause I was trying to do it in the pc case but got the bug and had to go bigger!! but I love the fact that everything Im doing is legal.
As for the temps Im not sure, when my temps get too hot leaves start to curl and eventually fall off. so id say get them under control asap. adding the light trap i told you about to the inside of the case and redoing the reflective tape would help since you could take the carbon filter off?? cheap fix too

Cheap but time consuming fix, they are stable right now, I'll probably mess with it tomorrow instead. I woke up this morning had only 2 lights screwed in and it looks like they are looking for light a bit but their leaves are definitely bigger since yesterday. The droopy one from yesterday has perked up and spreading out. Had to turn the AC on last night last night also, temps were at 80 when I checked it this morning. I threw in the 3rd bulb just so they would get some good light. I'll periodically just turn the AC on and off until I go to work then I'll probably take that 3rd light out so it won't get too hot. If I can figure out how to move the Box right next to me with the plugs spread out I'll be able to keep it better concealed by keeping it right next to me next to my computer. But I am wondering is it advised to plug a power strip into a power strip? I am just not sure if I'll be putting out too much energy to burn out the power strip it would be plugged into. The issue is the light timer I have fucks up my plug placement because when I plug it in, there is no room to plug anything else in except normal plugs but all I have to plug in are AC adapters.

Also kudos on doing it all legal :-P. But technically it is illegal under federal law. So my thinking is fuck it. Why should I risk my net grabbing weed when I've already had too many close calls when grabbing. Maybe its a little more dangerous at home, idk, as long as the right precautions are in place. I wish everyone grew and I wish we could all get together and trade strains, clones, seeds, and buds without money even being a factor.

A quick little update on how my seedlings are doing.

This first one is the one that was drooped last night. It really looks like it bounced back. Was thinking maybe over watering but it was dry as a mofo and I had to water so I made the right choice.

Now I am bit concerned about this one, I am thinking it probably has to do with the soil median losing its remaining nutrients. If you notice the leaf on the left has minor yellow/browning happening at the tip as well as maybe 2 yellow spots forming after it. It may also be from the heat but idk after i got in bed the AC was on all night so they should have been okay.

I plan to start using small amounts of nutes by the end of this week so hopefully all that will be taken care of.

And here is a picture of the trio looking happy imo, the 3rd light plus the box sitting on top of the air vent is really helping out. My room was at like 80+ last night so it didn't really help the inside.

QUESTION: I am using distilled water, when I start using nutes, which would be my FF Grow Big (6-4-4). Would I need to do any balancing as far as pH? I have yet to get a pH tester and really trying to avoid it on account of how much cash I've dropped but if its necessary I'll grab it sometime this week.

If I do put the fan in on the top, I am thinking that that part that detatches from the case I can line it with a carbon filter so it has no choice but to go up and full it and come out that way. What do you think? Man its just so much taking apart and putting together again. I need another full day to mess with it.

Short little update, really enjoying the weather right now its cooled down and moving my box closer to the AC has really been paying off. I got home and its been sitting at 84.9 the whole time. And when I left it was sitting at 79/80. It went up because my parents had turned the AC off. But either way its been a good day for my babies. I plan on making those modifications on my box for better ventilation and cooling.

QUESTION: I am considering grabbing a piece of clear plexi or something like that to sort of create an artificial cool tube by having it placed right below the lights? Any thoughts or suggestions on how to go about doing that? I am moving the exhaust to the top of the machine rather than the rear so that the hot air can easily escape upwards.

I think that it couldnt hurt besides slowing airflow but not by much, might as well just to add more light proof. But this whole hobby of growing is way more work than I thought, but I love it....
:]

and as for the cool tube I will be honest and say I dont know. I have thought about it myself since I do have spare plexiglass at the house. i think it could work man

Its just a thought, and yeah its definitely a ton of work and takes its toll on the wallet but I feel the risk/work is definitely worth the reward. When I can get the heating right that should include the light proofing cause basically its only the front and exhaust that I need to worry about. I am actually excited about moving the exhaust to the top. I may not even stack em. You think 1 83cfm fan will be okay for a top exhaust? Heat only goes up so I feel stacking wouldn't really be worth it and just take up space. By putting the fan up top I can revert back to keeping it stealthy. I plan to get another power strip to plug my lights power strip into, is that an okay idea? Reason being I have a light timer and although I have a socket adapter with 6 plugs, it takes up too much space to plug my AC adapters into. Plus if I could get a longer reach for my power strip then I could move it further back towards the corner near my computer less conspicuous and has the open AC blowing cool fresh air into the intake. My house is usually at 80 with the AC on. Its off right now and sitting at a stable 89 sadly. Its a nice night tho so windows open.

Since I am adding the exhaust up top, I can simply cut a hole to fit for it to come out perfectly. My concern right now is the carbon filter. How will put that up top? Like I had said before just line the inside of that top piece with carbon filter pads?

is this grow stealth dude ? :D just a Q
Actually I fixed the stealthiness of it by installing the exhaust in the top rear of the pc while being housed with 2 carbon filter pads stacked on one another over it. I got home and it was sitting at 89. A step up since it was above 90 when I had the old exhaust on and in the back. My issue is I need better air flow in there. I'm moving around fans a bit. I'm taking my weak 140mm out as my bulb cooling fan and putting up my stronger 120mm with 83cfm. I will have some update photos, my babies have grown a bit today. 2 of them is growing outwards while another is lower and its leaves are growing bigger than it. When I get my light timer hooked up and wiring all taken care of I plan to move my box closer in the corner near my desk, less noticeable. I still also have the light proofing issue. For the most part light is still passing through only the intake but the top exhaust has a little light poking through. I may need to make a light trap -__-

UPDATE:

Here is an update on my grow box itself. Not happy with the resulting temps. Maybe should have just stuck with the weaker fan blowing on the bulbs. Temps are at 90 only because I have it cracked open. No AC on or anything, another nice night so its about 80 something in my room.

Replaced the 140mm with the stronger 120mm I had for air blowing over the leaves as well as at the bulbs to hopefully cool it. Its nice air flow but I am wondering if 2 carbon filter pads on each other is too much for air to pass through freely.

Here is the exhaust on the top. Its nice and concealed in the housing above the case but with 2 carbon filter pads alone there is still light leaks.
QUESTION: Is 1 carbon filter pad enough for smell protection. Was going to have Ona Gel on hand as well..obviously not a perm fix but just to have. Was looking 100mm inline fans but it just seems too big to put in the grow box as much as I would love the exhaust flow.

The trio.

If you notice there is discoloration on the leaf tip there looking sort of like rust. Brownish.

And here are the other two. Content so far with their growth. This heat ventilation issue is really irritating. Haven't been able to deal with the light leaking either :-\.

With the placement of my thermo-hygrometer, with the box cracked open, the temps at the top near the exhaust are 91F and at the bottom it is 88F. I've heard that you can still grow under those conditions but the stress will produce less potent if not, just less buds. Any suggestions? Btw its looking much stealthier now :).

I really appreciate all the help I am NOT getting. Probably cause I'm new. Probably because I don't have a telephone booth sized box growing a pound. But whatever I guess I am on my own with the help of Beezle, Flaming, and Cl!ck.

Anyways I checked in on the seedlings this morning. The younger 2 are growing great. The other one is developing that rust on the tip of its leaf and I think because of the 92 degree heat for the past 5 hours because I remember having to get up when they turned the AC back on and I closed the box. It was sitting at 86. AC was off when I got up and it was back up to 92. Also with the eldest one, its leaves look like it closed up a bit I dont know why, too much? Too much light? Its sitting more directly under the closer of the 2 bulbs near the back where most of the heat is pooling up under the exhaust.

NITROGEN (N)
Pale plants, red stems, smaller growth. Rapid yellowing of lower leaves progressing up the plant. Add any chemical fertilizer containing N. Treated plants recover in about a week.

PHOSPHORUS (P)
Slow or stunted growth, red stems. Smaller leaves that are dark green. Lower leaves yellow and die. Add chemical fertilizer containing P. Affected leaves will not show recovery but new growth will apear normal.

POTASSIUM (K)
Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K.

CALCIUM (Ca)
Lack of calcium in the soil results in the soil becoming too acid. This leads to Mg or Fe deficiency or very slow stunted growth. Treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomatic lime per quart of water until condition improves.

SULFER (S)
Plants suffering from S definciencies exhibit yellowing of new growth. Mix one tablespoon of Epsom salts per gallon of water until condition improves.

MAGNESIUM (Mg)
Lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green. Blades die and curl upward.

IRON (Fe)
Leaves on growing shoots turn pale and veins remain dark green. pH imbalances make iron insoluble. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Fe or rusty water.

MANGANESE (Mn)
Necrotic and yellow spots form on top leaves. Mn deficiency occurs when large amounts of Mg are present in the soil. Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn.

BORON (B)
Growing shoots turn grey or die. Growing shoots appear burnt. Treat with one teaspoon of Boric acid (sold as eyewash) per gallon of water.

MOLYBDENUM (Mb)
Yellowing of middle leaves. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Mb.

ZINC (Zn)
White areas form at leaf tips and between veins. Occurs in alkaline soils. Zn deficiency can be treated by burying galvanized nails in the soil. Chemical fertilizer containing Zn can also be used.

OVER FERTILIZATION
Causes leaf tips to appear yellow or burnt. To correct soil should be flushed with three gallons of water per one gallon of soil.

Think it is over fert, mate.

btw, a guy on the forums just had cops visit, he said that the ONA gel at vent exit and inside box was enough to neutralize the smell. Have the air flow over the container. keep the carbon filters too just in case.

What do you mean someone had cops visit a guy on forums? How did they find him?

Also I haven't started feeding them nutes yet, I think it may be pH inbalance, but its a FF Ocean Forest, I've only been using distilled. Or it could too much heat, temps have been fluxing between 85 to 92 :-\. Or could be a combination of things. I was actually going to ask about feeding, when people say an 1/8 to a gallon what do they mean? Like an 1/8 of a tsp?
