man that sucks ....my apologies for representing them poorly....they are so new...sucks they didnt work. I am going to try and send a new round of emails and pm mark from cutter..cant quite remember the tag apparently....sucks the dremel didnt work either, that would have been the way i went too.....:peace:

Future has done me well.,.in wish they had some..they maybe able to order but the amount

and i also have account with arrow canada

affordable strips are scarce

Finally got some solid logging code running on my ESP8266, dumping data to ThingSpeak every minute. Light temp dips due to a bug/lazy coding on my part reading all the DS18b20's.

Sealed Tent Running @ 500ma. Air/Humidity temps are near the floor currently (working on mounting higher). Canopy temp is inside a dome (cut plastic bottle) on top of the netpot. Dips in temp are me opening tent.

Finally getting around to actually growing something with this, do you have the PAR values you posted? The image issues on here won't show it. Just looking for a baseline mine ~x2 your values (9 strips vs 4 strips)
What distance from the canopy?

I apologize if this was discussed but I couldn't find any mention. While on digikey and checking out EB and Samsung strips I found these guys hanging around and really liked the fact that they are only 8.8 volts per instead of 20-30+ for the higher end strips and their L/W is nice as well. They come in both 282mm and 562mm and one other difference is the poke-in connectors can be mounted on the back(bottom) of the strip.

Only downside I can see is that they cost twice the price of one EB strip

Could be some good info to any microgrowers out there.

just picked up two handfuls of 3k that are two feet long or just about ....model 560?

i am aiming for 500 ma and 162 lpw....i think that is roughly 51% eff...before loss. Not too shabby for $7....

Wanted the quantum boards? but i have a smaller space and they seemed like the best for a 4x4...esacially the price breakdown....at lower currents and watts these kill a quantum in price...so i went that route ...only have a 2x2...

Hope i made a good choice and thanks for thread info!

i think i am going for 10 strips ....that should give around 8-900 ppfd i think.....also have some aluminum for heatsinks....saw some of y'all not using a heatsink....awesome!

might also go for bottled co2..

I just put together 7 of the 2ft 4000k strips for a test grow. running 540ma mounted on an open wood frame they stay below 50C with no heatsink. these seems like an inexpensive way to try high efficiency LEDs. still unable to upload pictures. will be adding a small UVA bulb for the last 3 weeks of flowering to improve THC/CBD production but it looks like LEDs may finally be becoming cost effective. we will see how these grow plants in a comparison grow

Interesting, I have noticed that if I can suspend them and leave most of the back of the strips open to the air, then they stay under 50c also. How much area are you trying to cover with 7 strips?

I am covering 1 plant in a 2ft by 2 ft by 8 ft closet. I have a box frame so only 1 inch at each end is covered where it attaches to the frame the rest is open. these use a fiberglass PC board so it appears they are using the foil for most of the cooling I think a small fan blowing across the face of the boards might be an effective way of cooling them at higher currents. that fiberglass PC board may create a substantial thermal resistance between the diodes and any heat sink it's mounted too.the lumen output approximates the output of a 150 watt CMH bulb so i'm hoping for 3 ounces from this.without the added UVA at the end of flowering I think quality might be lower but with this I am trying to match the performance ( yield and quality) of a 150 watt cmh bulb using less than 90 watts.I run test grows with LEDs once a year and so far have not been impressed but this one looks promising

Someone tried latest Samsung H-Series Strips, gen.3?
They use similar 561c like the quantumboards and use a 8SxP series-parallel layout for 22,5vdc, only a bit pricey.

OK...so not getting on your case...just asking, what was your thinking in running 540ma and using 7 strips on a 2x2?
