ohh thanks +rep to you too broo
You're too kind!

So I recently opened up my phone's calendar and decided to add all important milestones for my plant. I'm currently entering the 4th week of flowering (4 weeks after my plant showed sex) and I'm so excited! I'm hoping my plant doesn't take anymore than 9 weeks.

Another quick update, I will soon be purchasing a 40x Jeweler's Loupe from the internet. I'm hoping to get to that by this weekend!

Now, I've heard a lot of different opinions about trichome color and I was wondering what are you guys' preferences? :)

Forsure..... Good thing to remember about potted plants is that they will only grow as big as the container they are in. Once the roots run out of room your plant wont grow any bigger, so if you want a bigger plant with larger heavier buds use a larger container. Maybe start out in the size you have what is that a 1 or 2 gal? then transplant into something larger after a week or two of veg let it run a couple weeks after the transplant then throw it into 12/12 and you'll have a nice plant.
Sup North40! I heard 0f this as well as I would think it should. But my question is do you think it's safe2transplant even thgh 3-4wks into flowering? My common-sense tells me that it should be 0.k. considering that the worst it can do maybe is stunt it f0r a day. IDK let me know what you all think. I've been doing research on it but I still would like to make sure.....Sup Buddy Skunk! If haven't yet done so already, check0ut my girl-https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/529058-6wks-making-2.html

and bro my first plant i grew i got 4g's off it lsted lol. thats when i switched to DWC and now i have huge bushes with tons of buds :)
Sup DJA! You say your 1st plant yield around 4g's, how tall & bushy was your plant mite I ask? DWC-is that "Deep Water Culture" for hydroponics? I heard that you get more dense buds when growing hydroponically but I prefer sticking with Soil4now as I am a newbie. Hit me back

I have a sneaky little trick up my sleeve...

Not only do I have my plants at my partners place, I'm starting an Alien Dog plant today in my closet with CFL's! Haha I'm so excited to see my baby sprout.

I also recently inspired a friend to start growing! :leaf:

Probably gonna' keep this baby in my closet til I know what to do with it. ^_^

For everyone who's been keeping up with my current grow, have no fear! Once my plant start's fattening up I'll post more pictures. Nobody wants to see a bunch of pistil's, they wanna' see bud! So we'll be seeing more of my baby here in the next week or so. :)

With my partner, along with the plant I've been keeping you updated on, I have another plant. This one I'm low-stress training and I put her in the dark for the first time lastnight. So I'm hoping by the time my first plant is done and smoked, my other will be ready to harvest. :leaf:

Here's another interesting update! I now have another partner, separate from the first, who I am going to be growing with. Just germinated Alien Dog and King Kush seeds, transplanted them into growing medium and I'm soon going to move it to my new partner's place. SO!

Technically, I have 4 plants right now to myself. (2 at one place, 2 here waiting to be moved to my new partner's place.) My first plant should be done by no later than August 22nd. Since I just started flowering my LST plant lastnight, I'm expecting to see signs of it's sex in about 3 weeks. (Probably 2 and a half weeks, I'll notice the signs of it's gender before the sex-organs are fully formed.) About another 9 weeks after it shows it's sex, so.. I'm hoping to harvest that plant sometime in early October depending on the sex of course.

Not only that, but my 2 newly germinated babies will take a little longer because I really would like to grow a nice wide, bushy, plant with a lot of colas and bud-spots since I the 2 seeds were from some Kush and I might as well push them to their limits regarding size.

I'll be teaching my new partner a lot about growing cannabis but he knows all the basics, I'm hoping with each plant I grow, I can grow it better, stronger, faster, and with a much better yield than the one before. I'll probably veg the hell out of these babies til about 2 feet THEN flower it. Hoping for an epic monster/hopeful mother.

Any advise?

So, today I heard a bit of unsettling news. By unsettling, I mean totally outrageous, nearly give me a brain aneurysm, beat the living shit out of anybody involved, kinda news.

I heard someone's going to try and steal my fucking plants dude. I honestly dare anyone, friend, foe, family, to ever attempt to fuck with my shit. This is one of the only things I ever have to look forward to in life, and if someone ruins my 4 months of work they're going to get their ass handed to them.

I know it's a scary thought guys, trust me. I'm more worried now than I ever was... I might be camping with my babies to serve as protection.

I swear to God, if someone attempts to steal my plants I'll be going to jail for ruthlessly beating them senseless with large heavy objects until they're eyes close.
:) With a big fucking smile on my face.

Hey Buddy, lookin good but I can see that your bud sites are looking a little stringy... This is 100% due to the lack of red-spectrum light that the plants require to produce their buds. In nature the Cannabis plant flowers late summer- fall when the sun's angle to the earth is lower on the horizon and puts out more red light (much like how a sunset works). You really do need that red spectrum of light if you want the buds to be promising and full of THC instead of wispy and much less potent. If you swap to HPS before the next week or so (if you can) you will double if not triple the weight and strength of the buds. Your strain has a long flowering cycle, so that is in your favor if you decide you can eventually switch.... you do have time, but not alot.

But they look great man, really really healthy and the number of bud sites is lookin high. Must be usin that Fox Farm Tiger Bloom huh? They luuuuuv dat shit, it's like how smokin weed is to a stoner.

Thank you! I'm so glad you've given me this advice. My MH bulb came with an HPS bulb, but I'm not sure if the HPS bulb doesn't work or if I didn't give it enough time to heat up. How much do HPS bulbs cost at the store?

HPS bulbs wont work in MH ballasts, however some MH bulbs work in HPS ballasts... My advice is pick up a HPS ballast from a local lighting company, look for or ask if they carry a ballast that supports MH and HPS (like an actual commercial lighting company) and grab a bulb from Home Depot or something like that. 100W $20 250W $30 400W $40 600W $50 APPROXIMATELY. But when you pick up the bulb make sure it's the same wattage as your MH if you get ahold of a dual-ballast. THEY DO EXISTS, there is usually a switch of some sort if you buy it online, but my commercial ballast supports both with no switch.

Using an HPS you can count on anywhere from .25g of bud weight per watt to 2g. TBH anything above .5g per watt almost alwaysssss requires you to use the Sea Of Green Method (which is what i use). SO if you get a 400W bulb, if you give the plants what they need to keep growing and producing you can expect anywhere from 100g to 200g of weight depending on the plant's size. (this scale is what I use for myself because I grow with Sea Of Green Methods, and it is based on per square foot of budding sights in the canopy at approx 2 inches apart from eachother ex: .25g to 2g per square foot).

I would gauge your plant spitting out around 80g dried as long as you let it flower untill 75% of the pistils are orange and the fan leaves are yellowing around the bud sites, and I say only 80 because you dont seem to have topped a whole lot. Topping creates a bigger canopy, therefore more budding sites that are in direct light and are able to grow big like the ''main cola'' of an un-cropped plant.

Best of luck, I'll be keepin in touch on this thread.

I won't quote you, Diamond, to save my middle finger from falling off scrolling. But thank you, I just recently got a job so I'm hoping to spend the money I get from training on the necessary equipment. I believe the HPS bulb is burnt out, although I believe it's a HPS Ballast that supports my MH bulb. I can probably go grab me a 400w bulb... But cant I get a lesser powered one? Mine causes a lot of heat..

No, unless the ballast has some way to adjust the output (in watts) you have to use the same wattage bulb. If you're worried about heat just keep the bulb about 8 " from the canopy and have a small fan blowing RIGHT across the tops of the plants between them and the bulb and you should be ok as long as the room itself is able to stay uner 95 deg. at the HIGHEST. I might even angle the fan upwards a BIT toward the bulb. I did this fan trick and was able to keep my 100W HPS literally 1 inch from the plants without issues.

Alright man, I found out that with my new job's training I'll be getting paid. But not until my 1st paycheck! UHG! I was hoping to get an HPS bulb to hopefully save my harvest. :(

Pics of the buds on the top cola? I can tell you about how long you have before harvest.
It's almost 5 weeks into Flowering! (Tomorrow it'll be in the 5th week.) I'll try and get pictures tonight. :)

ALSO! My germination was a success. Pictures up shortly.

Look at that baby!

Not the best quality of picture but it's the best I can do until I can hook my digital camera up to the computer.

There's 2 more seeds waiting to break the dirt just like this baby did. She'll be my newest addition to the world, and my lungs. :) *hopefully*

If not, I'm hoping her 2 friends pick up the slack and start reachin' for the sky.

Just got back from my friend's house after a nice long smoke session along with watching I Am Legend (Lead Actor: Will Smith AKA The Fresh Prince of My Childhood.)

Lol... Anyways, I'm not going to look at my baby seedlings under my CFL's before tomorrow when I put them in the window. Don't wanna jinx em' ya' know?

Eiter way, I'm hoping to see the other seeds sucSEEDing here in the next DAY or.. Never. If they don't sprout by tomorrow at sundown those seeds are going to have a rude awakening.

:fire: The only seed I have fear for is my Alien Dog *(Chem Dog/Alien Bud? A friend told me that) because I didn't properly germinate the seed. Rather, I placed it in the nice moist soil and had it in the sun for almost 3 days now. I keep the medium nice and wet whenever I notice a lack of moisture, but still no signs of growth.. It's looking quite grim. But I don't want to take the chance of digging the little sucker up and finding that it was workin' it's way to the surface...

I think too much.

Regards to my main grow featured in this forum.. The bud sights haven't started producing visible amounts of bud.. At least to my eyes. (Still lots of open stalk 1 - 2 nodes down) I'm hoping the lack of an HPS bulb wont completely rob me of my yield in the long-run. Give me an ounce, and I'll be one happy fellow. (Considering my new baby!)

Thank you all for reading!

(Picture update this weekend!!)
