yum, those are looking pretty... can't wait to see your finished product dried weight..

got a question cab, with that scrog I seen you kinda tied them down a bit was that just to direct the branches into wear you wanted them on the screen?

Yup, I just really used the screen as a 'guide' more than anything, but when i needed to I tied something to it. If you notice in the pics of the full crop, on the right side there is a big bud that has been pulled down. It was too tall, and I did tie other branches down a bit as well.

But, this being our second grow, they reacted a lot differently than the first time and grew WAY more in veg.

nice, i'm gonna be growing in a pc was looking into the scrog but i think i'm just gonna try plain ole LST at least for the first grow and see how it comes out. but might give the scrog a chance the second go around lol. well thanks for the clarification

hey cabinet nice grow read this whole post through.. i want to do exactly this set up dwc w/ scrog, ive scrog'd before but i like the small hooks attached to the top of the lid nice design. I'm debating whether to use my hps or switch to cfl's since many claimed that cfl's can only be used for veg i had my doubts. But i'm having heat issues because of the confined space and the more fans i put in the more its sounding like a plane taking off. Hows your temps looking now with all the buds and max growth? Did you custom your bulb setup?

The temps are pretty consistent. Min is about 22 and max is about 30 degrees celcius depending on what light cycle they are on obviously. The bulb setup was made by me and a friend. Basically it is a rectangular wood frame with 2 4 banger bathroom fixtures and 2 single bulb fixtures all wired together, with a reflective hood over top. So with 10 bulbs we get ample coverage of the tops of the plants. Just a note about growing with CFL's though... we used more 6500k bulbs during veg, and switched to 2700k bulbs to flower.

nice i went back and studied your wood frame nice and simple.. how far do you keep the bulbs from the tops? do you think its worth keeping any veg below the canopy, i know with a hps the light is intense enough to penetrate pretty far into the canopy are the cfls that bright?

We keep the lights about an inch away or less. Basically as long as they don't touch the plant, they won't burn. CFL's are not strong enough to penetrate very far so that is why we have trimmed out all vegitation below the Screen. If we could we would re-do this Cabinet with HPS or equivalent.... the issue is temperature really. For us if we could vent directly outside, we would go with the big bulbs. Someday we will be able to, but not currently.

yes that def answered everything i got the same situation i have an hps but it gets so damn hot and cant engineer a small stealthy cabinet.. sigh one day.. lookin forward to your harvest fo sho. gl!

hmmm can't wait to see them yummy buds get harvested... i scratched my old pc plan doing another pc right now, had a way bigger server laying around ;p good luck on a huge harvest
