the cheese has the old school dank skunky smell and it overpowers the citrus smell from the BLT
nice to have some citrus smell around when growing, my SLH is also making my mornings with that fresh citric odor when entering grow room.. although so far nothing beats c99 with the smell..

Looking nice, looks like big buddah cheese pistils are quite brownish? When you reckon it will be ready to go down?

its supposed to be 75-90 days from seed for the cheese, but i think due to me having to switch to 12/12 for the BLT that it might finish early, i am giving it another feed in 3 days then gonna flush it for 10-14 days so hopefully it will be ready to come down in about 3 weeks at the most

  • so i had to switch my Auto plant to a 12/12 light cycle a cpl weeks ago due to it sharing a grow space with my other regular female plant,
what i want to know is does anyone have any experience of this and does it speed up the flowering time even more or will it still take the full recommended 75-90 days? ( i know the yield will be vastly lower than if i left it 18/6 but has to be done)
i am currently at day 56 from seed and the buds look good and frosty, 75% of the pistils are now orange,

heres pics of the main cola and a cpl smaller buds

any advice wud be great cheers

man i cut most of my slh yesterday, before that i had the same doubts, so got into discussion that cleared a lot of things for me. peak potency is at 20-30 cloudy trichomes, the rest clear. pistil color does not tell a lot. also capitate heads and calyxes has to be swollen. and no amber trichs cause amber = degraded thc(cbn). check my slh grow on my sig, page 12, post 119
cheers

Ad say let it go another coupla weeks mate, still got a lot of swelling to do. Amber trichs does mean the THC is starting to degrade but ad wait till they're mostly cloudy with a few amber. The big buddha cheese usually foxtails a little not sure if the auto does as well though...

so i gave the cheese its final feed with nutrients yesterday will leave it a week then will start flushing it with fresh water for another 10 days before i chop her down so by my estimate i think i have about 17-20 days left at the most

i am flushing it cos its about to be chopped soon and thats what ive always done and from reading on here so do most people,

do u not flush ur plants before harvest??
well I flushed my first two plants before I started seriously reading about this. I also fell for those hypes like majority of newbies here... The thing is that by flushing you do not really force it to flower faster or better or taste better. The only thing you do is seriously stress the plant. That just stuns the growth and yields less. now I follow these set of rules and so far been very happy about results:
If you want bigger and tastier nugs, keep high N throughout the grow to maintain all of the foliage. Bottom yellowing is not normal
do not use high P ferts cause indoor its rare to have deficiency of it, and actually it causes quite some trase element lockouts
do not cut the feeding and DO NOT flush. Flushing in the books I've read or threads is meant for a last resort, when you seriously accidentally overfeeding your girls, and without flushing it would die. Any other reason is based on hypes..

Most of the people claim that it tastes better, but as a matter of fact my previous flushed plants tasted like wet road weed, not mj, and it took a month for that taste to go away, when I got myself boveda humidipak 62%, after 1 week of drying and one week of curring it tasted wonderfully sugarry fruity as it should. Both smell and the taste was amazing. The thing is that curring is done most efficiently at 62% RH. Bellow 57% curring stops, above 69% mold and rotting risk increases. And First time I curred in 35% RH. humidipak controls humidity both ways so if it's two wet it absorbs, if it's too dry it releases moist.

if I were you I would really avoid flushing. Let the buds to pack up for the time which left for them. But that's just my 2 cents..

Technically the plant stores nutrients in the leaves not the bud,so as long as ur not smoking the leaves u should b fine.

U soon anything with ur trim, bubble or iso etc?

im gonna try making honey oil with my trim my mate does it with his and a can of lighter gas and he's gonna show me how to do it as ive never tried before,

i took a trial bud off about 5 days ago and let it dry for a few days it was not too bad either but didnt have much of a cheese taste due to no curing
